Chapter 10: mommy’s day

I was curling my hair and chaos was running around the house trying to catch bliss and put her in her dress. She ran into my room and hid under the bed. He ran in half in tux and half in sweat holding his daughters dress. “She. Is. Impossible.” He said trying to catch his breath. “Just like her daddy.” I said turning off the curler. Suddenly I was shoved to the wall and our lips were meeting. “EW!” we separated to see our daughter coming out from under the bed. Chaos ran and grabbed her as she went up in a fit of giggles.

When we finally finished getting ready and we finally got bliss into her dress we left for the church. When we got to the church a limo was out front with many cars. We got inside and my mom’s friends pulled me over to my mother. She was wearing a beautiful silk white wedding dress. When she saw me she pulled me into a bear hug. “Your okay still with me and josh?” she asked.

I smiled. “I know you two love each other and he’s made you feel loved since dad died.” My father died when I was 4. His name was Thomas and he loved us so much that when he died of cancer it was the hardest thing for us. “Josh still feels horrible about what happened with bliss.” I sighed thinking of that day. “It’s in the past. No one died.” I sighed with a heavy heart.

10 minutes later the wedding began. The first of the bride’s maids walked down the aisle. Abby was there with me to be a bride’s maid because she was like a daughter to my mother. When we got there I looked at chaos sitting in the front row. Soon my baby walked down throwing flowers directly in people’s faces. She ran up to me and as I held her she threw the petals in my face. Everyone laughed.

Soon my mother walked down the aisle and soon came up nest to josh and handed me her flowers and they held hands and both smiled.

After the ceremony we went to the reception and bliss ran to her daddy. I walked up to them. “You were beautiful as a bride’s maid. But your even beautiful as just the bride.” He said holding my hand and kissing it. Man I love this guy!

As the dinner went on people were dancing then the bride and grooms dance came up and they walked to the center of the floor and they began dancing. Abby was sitting by her boyfriend Dominic who she invited and she held bliss on her lap. I was standing by the dance floor watching my mother swiftly dance with josh. They really looked like they loved each other.

And that look she had was one she had before. When she looked at dad. Tears flowed down my cheek at the memory of my father. I walked through the crowd and out the back door. I sat outside in the garden and watched the stars alike my father and I used to do. If only he was here. I felt someone poke my arm.

I looked over to see bliss standing there in her little purple dress.

“Mommy? Why are you crying?” she asked. I laughed. I pulled her onto my lap and held her. “Because mommy’s just sad that my daddy isn’t here.” I said. She looked up at me. “Where is he?” she asked. “In heaven.” I said. She sighed. “Grandpa and I used to watch the stars every night.”

She turned around and hugged me. “Wove you mommy.”

“I love mommy too.” I turned and saw Abby there. She was like a daughter to my father to. She was always there with us. Father-daughter time you know? Heh.  She sat down next to me. “I know you miss him but now you have Josh.” She said. I nodded. She wiped my tears from my face. “I just wish I had more time with him.” She knew I was referring o my dad.

A while later we got up and went inside. I fixed my makeup and we went and enjoy the rest of the wedding. We left a while later and I feel asleep in the car ride home. When I woke up I cried again. Chaos was leaning over me. “What’s wrong? Bad dream?” he asked. I shook my head. “No a great one. I was with my dad and we were together again.” I said. he frowned.

“Then why are you crying.” I sniffled. “Because I’m awake.”

So so so so so so sorry I haven’t uploaded this in so long I just have been busy with my father chapter and I had a little writers block but it’s fixed now! More soon to come!
