Ch. 3

We are dead. They look at me and motion for me to come with them. I sigh and follow them. I looked out the window. In between lightning, I saw a blue robe, like what my dad used to wear. I gasped. The squids pushed me along. Soon they walked me into a new cell with a bunch of books and an enchant table. I turned around and they closed the door. I grabbed a book and read it until I fell asleep.

I wake to my cell opening. I looked to see a boy in a blue robe outside of my door. I ready my hands in attack. So does the boy.

He laughs. "Ever since we were little, we knew I was stronger than you.'' He says. I give him a confused look. "You don't remember your own brother!" He says to me. I gasp.

"Delkan!" I say. He nods. I hug him and I ask him his story.

"When mom and dad separated, I went with dad. He taught me how to fight. Mom taught you to heal. We visited before the war. During the war, dad was killed. I went to grab his cloak when I was stopped by a squid. I remembered how dad taught me to fight. When it was dead, I hid underground until the war was over. When I emerged, I saw you emerge, too. I hid. You grabbed mom's cloak and ran into the forest. I followed you until I saw a boy running away and you being kidnapped. I was about to attack when I felt a squid grabbing me. I fought it off and ran to where I last saw you. You where gone. I spent years looking for the layer of the squids to find you were gone. I waited until you returned and I had a chance to break you out." He said. We smiled.

"I'll tell you my story once we get out of here.'' I say. We stand up and run out. I find the way out and I ran away until I came across a camp. I see Ty exiting his tent. I tell Delkan to get down and wait for my signal.

"Ty? What is this place?" I ask.

"Seto! How did you get out?" He asks. I signal for Delkan.

Him." I says.

"Who?" Ty asks. I turn around to see Delkan gone.

"Delkan. My brother." I tell him. "DELKAN!'' I scream. I find a paper on the ground.

"What does it say?" Ty asks.

"It says 'Hand over the healer or Jason, Delkan, Sky, and Jerome get dumped into lava. Bring him here and they get let free! -Le King Squin' They have my brother. They also have Jerome, Sky, and Jason." I say. "Let's go." I say.

"What? Are you going to turn yourself in?!" He asks.

"Yes." I say and I run towards the squid's layer without looking back.
