7 months later;

Castle's POV:
He is finally here. I am SO happy to finally meet him. He has brown hair and blue eyes like me. He is about the same size as when Alexis was his age and he weighs 5.8.
We named him Finlay Ryan-James Castle.
He is now just over a day old.
I am holding him in my arms and he is staring up at me. This moment would be perfect if i wasn't that his Mom was in another room.
About 14 hours after Finlay was born, Kate started to bleed a lot. At first we thought it was just normal but her blood pressure started to go down and she a lot more pale and weak than before. Then 10 minutes later, she fainted from the blood loss and her heart waa beating out of control. Going slow then fast, then slow and back to fast again.
The Doctors came in and took her away to try and stabilize her again and to diagnose what was wrong. 1 hour later he came back and told us that my wife has Postpartum hemorrhage also know as PPH. It was rare and very serious but luckily they had got to her in time so she is stable but she has not stopped bleeding so she is going to have to have surgery so they can stop her bleeding. Also because of the blood loss, she is going to have to have a blood transfusion and is going to have to have drips with medicine in it called Pitocin. I couldn't help but burst into tears. My wife was going to have to go through surgery again and has not got a high percentage of survival.

This information was given to me 4 hours ago and still i haven't heard a thing.

Alexis' POV
I walk into the hospital room to find Dad asleep on the chair next to Mom's empty bed, with Finlay asleep in his arms.
On the bed there are still red blood stains from when Mom was in here and i couldn't helo but let a few tears fall loose.
I can't think of how Grandad Jim feels. He has already lost his wife and now his daughter is in surgery again in a life threatening state.
Dad called us all as soon as Mom was rushed away to be diagnosed. I came as soon as i could but after hearing what was wrong, we knew it was going to be a long day so everyone went home but Dad and Finlay because he didn't want to leave Mom and Finlay here because Finlay is not due to leave till tomorrow afternoon. I left Grams at home because she couldn't bare to come back. She doesn't like hospitals so she is gonna wait till Mom has finished surgery and blood transfusion before seeing her which i don't blame her. 

Quick and quietly i put my bag down on the couch on the side of the room and i slowly remove Finlay from Dad's arms and i take him to the couch and cuddle him. He is SO cute! He has soft brown hair and blue eyes like Dad's but he reminds me of Mom.
After a while of watching Finlay, i also start to drift off to sleep.
