**** Hi guys! This is my first story. Comment and Vote to tell me what you think!****
"Shelby! We have to pick up Jordan from her house and get to the airport in 2 hours and it takes an hour and a half to get there. Now lets hurry!" My mom screamed down the hall.
"Mom I have all my bags in the car and I'm ready. I text Jordan and she said she was ready too. Do you want me to drive?" I ask in the sweetest way possible.
"Sure, just lets go now." She snapped.
My moms been really stressed about this trip to Texas. Before I start talking about this trip, let me introduce myself.
My name is Shelby and I'm 15 years old. I'm originally from North Carolina but I've lived in Texas and South Carolina. We moved out of North Carolina when I was 6 years old and moved to Texas for about 4 years. That's where my first little sister was born. Then when I was 10 we moved to South Carolina for 3 months then moved right back to North Carolina where my moms last kid was born and also where my mom and dad got a divorce.
My mom and dad seemed like the type that would always be together but my mom caught him cheating and left him. Now my dad is with that same girl and had 2 more kids with her and they are fixing to get married. I actually like her. She's cool.
Now its summer break of my sophomore year in high school and my mom wanted to take a trip to Texas. But of course my dad wants to take a trip to Tennessee at the same time.
Of course they would do this to us; make us pick. I've never been to Tennessee but my dad and I haven't been on the same page lately so I picked to go with my mom while my 2 little sisters go with my dad.
My mom bought 3 tickets just in case my little sister changed her mind and wanted to come with us but she decided to go with my dad so I got to take my best friend Jordan.
Jordan has been my best friend since freshmen year. After all the things that has happened to us and things that has happened around us we've always stuck together and always will.
By this time we have picked Jordan up and we are almost to the airport. The closer we get to the airport the more nervous I get. I've never been on an airplane before. My dads always preferred to drive everywhere: another reason why I chose to go with my mom.
Finally we reached the airport. Trying not to get lost, we find our tickets and wait until they call our flight. Looking around the airport, it was so big.
"Wow. This is huge," I gasped.
"You've never been to an airport?" Jordan asks me.
"Nope. My first time is right now.
"I've only been about 2 times. Its pretty cool."
"Are y'all tired?" My mom interrupted.
"A little," we both say in unison.
"FLIGHT 274, FLIGHT 274 BOARDING NOW" Screams the load announcers.
"That's our flight. Let's go!" My mom said as she was picking up her carry-on.
My mom let Jordan and I sit by ourselves for this flight while she sits 3 seats behind us.
I take out my headphones and share with Jordan as we fall asleep to the Ed Sheeran Radio on Pandora.
