Jordan and I were talking about boys, books that we just read, and boybands.
"I wonder what my moms doing. Shes been over there for a while." I say looking up towards my mom. My mom and Mama Mahone were sitting beside each other laughing at what it appeared to be nothing.
"Is she having a good time?" Jordan says without opening an eye.
"Yeah. They seem to be having the time of their life." I say laying back down closing my eyes again.
About 2 minutes later the sun went away, or seemed like it.
"Hey. What happened to the sun?" I say squninting my eyes at the sun. When I looked up there was a figure standing right in front of me.
"Hey you remember me?" The figure said. It had to be a guy because of his deep voice. I remember his voice from somewhere. Where could that be?
"I think it would help if you werent in the sun and I could actually see your face." I saying squinting my eyes so far that eyes where almost closed.
"Its Austin."
"Austin? Austin Mahone? Wait Austin!" I jump up to see him. That was probably the fastest I've ever jumped in a while. All of a sudden I felt two arms wrap around my waist and my hands go up around his neck.
"Wow. Look at you." He said looking at me.
"Let's not look at me. Let's look at you. Wait arent you too famous to come back to Texas?" I could tell that he had tanned a little before today and that hes been working out a lot. Hes also been in almost ever teen magazine since he started putting up youtube videos up.
He laughed. "I took a break and wanted to come back down here. How have you been? We havent seen each other in like how long has it been? Six years?"
"Um I think so. Five or six years. Its been a while."
"Oh this is Alex. I think you two have meet when you were down like once maybe." He said pointing to Alex.
"Maybe. I do remember the name and you always talking about an Alex. Im Shelby." I say not sure to reach for his hand or not. I'm pretty sure Alex was the reason me and Austin stopped talking. My mom and Mama Mahone would always call each other and they would let us talk but sometimes he was at Alex's. Thats when I thought I would hang out with my friends to get back at him. Im guessing it did because we didnt talk again. I brush it off. "But this is Jordan, my bestfriend." I turn my head to look at her. By this time shes standing beside me and my head almost knocks into her.
"Hi." She says to them shyly.
"Hey do you guys, well girls, want to go get in the water?" Austin says pretty awkwardly.
"Well we were just going to tan today." I look at Jordan and know that she doesnt like to get in the water.
"No its okay Shelby. If you want to go you can go with them. I'll just say up here and tan. I need to tan aways," Jordan says as she sits down on her towel.
"I can stay with you. I didnt want to get in the water anyways." Alex says sitting down beside her on my towel.
"Um okay. I guess I can go." I say starting to walk beside him.
"Have you been out in the water at all today? The waves have beem really good."
"No. Jordan doesnt really like to get in the water sometimes. You got to get her on a good day."
"Ohh. Being a good friend, huh?"
"Yeah you know me." I say. Now we are at the edge of the water. I always hate this part, getting used to the water. I never get used to it until I'm completely under. Austin knew this too or so I could tell.
