CHAPTER 2

I woke up in the middle of the flight to some lady arguing with the flight attendant.

"I asked for roasted peanuts and you gave me boiled peanuts. This is unacceptable."

"I am very sorry. I will get you your roasted peanuts now.

"That's what I thought." The lady said very snob-like.

This flight will be over before you know it, I thought. I looked to my left and there was a boy in his pre-teens sitting right beside me. He must have got there after I fell asleep.

He had dark-blonde hair that went to the side. It looked greasy from not taking a shower the night before. He looked like he was going through his awkward years. Now don't get me started about my awkward years. He had black beats that covered his ears and an iPhone that had a weird looking case.

His beats were on load and he mouthed the words to a song I couldn't quite get. I figured he saw me looking at him because he turned his head to look at me and took his beats off of one ear. "Can I help you?" he asked.

"No. Sorry."

"Its okay. You know that girl?" He pointed to Jordan.

"Yeah. She's my best friend. Wait, why?" This was weird.

"She's hot. When do you think she'll wake up?"

"Whenever she does, she wont be interested." Wow. Did every boy think that all the girls want to get with them?

"Fine. Whatever." He covered his ear with his beats for a second and then uncovered one. "Are you interested?"

"Oh god no. I mean sorry but no thanks?" This boy was too weird for me to even look at anymore.

I turn my head to look straight in front of me but there was nothing in front of me, just a seat with a man in it.

I took my phone out of my pocket and untangled the earphone cord that was connected. Maybe music might make the time pass. Only half an hour now.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"This is your co-polite speaking. We will be landing in 5 minutes. Please put your seat belt on and remain in your seat."

The plane ride was actually better than I thought. We didn't crash. No one threw up (I heard some people do that when they get on the plane). And my phone is at 74% thank god it isn't dying.

Jordan and I find my mom and get off the plane. We find our bags real easy and call a taxi. I've never rode in a taxi before. I know what you are thinking. This girl hasn't been anywhere. Is she locked up in the house all day? The answer is yes well no. I'm not locked up all day. Its complicated.

The taxi ride was pretty interesting. The taxi driver didn't know he had a ride so we stood at the back of his car hitting it until he realized someone was hitting his car and let us open the trunk. While we were riding he was listening to some full on Mexican music and he was a bit awkward. He didn't look us in the eye and he sure didn't speak unless he wanted to tell us our cost.

We finally reached the hotel and signed in. Thank the Lord. Finally in a hotel with beds and food and there's even a pool and a beach. Its like heaven all in one place.

I opened our room door, Room 775.

"Alright now lets get changed." I said excitedly. I'm guessing no one knew what I was talking about by their blank faces. "There's a beach right there."

"Don't you think that we need to unpack first?"

"Great idea, mom! You unpack everything and we go to the beach." She looked at me harshly. "Or you could unpack your things and we could go the beach and unpack our things later. Sound like a plan?"

"Fine. I'll be down in about 10 minutes. Don't get lost. This is a big hotel and I know how you are."

"Mom we wont get lost. Jordan will be with me and if we do get lost we will find our way." My mom always does that to me. She always worries. I know she's just trying to be a good parent but don't they say that when you're overprotective then your kid will end up trashy not classy? Sorry I had to add it.
