Let The Games Begin

Chapter 2

I woke up hearing my mum calling me that dinner is ready. I walked down stairs to notice my mum made pizza. She probably did that because she wants to make it up to me for moving across country. She knows pizza is my favourite food.

"Hey, honey how was your first day at school?" mum greets me

"It was alright I guess, I made new friends. They're pretty cool." I replied. I looked at the food hat was on the kitchen counter. I notice there is a lot more than just for three people. There is pineapple pizza, cheese pizza, pepperoni pizza, and vegetarian pizza, not to mention the pop and the chips that are out.

"Mum why is there so much food out?" I ask curiously

"Oh, our new neighbors are going over they should be here any minute now." She told me

"Well then thanks for the warning, if I knew I would have gotten something other than sweatpants and a giant t-shirt." I told my mum with a slight glare.

"Oh you're fi-" before she can finish her sentence the door bell rang, singling to use that our neighbors are here. I look down at my attire to see my black sweatpants and my giant All Time Low t-shirt on I just shrug and sit down on a bar stole.

My mother walks in with two older people and a girl that looks my age maybe slightly younger. I breathe out a sigh when I see that she is also in sweatpants and a giant All Time Low shirt as well. I could already tell we were going to be best friends.

"Nice shirt, I'm Ariel." I said introducing myself.

"Thanks, you too and I'm Sadie" she replied with a huge grin on her face.

"Ariel meet Mr. and Mrs. Quinn." My mother said introducing me to them.

"Hello Mr. and Mrs. Quinn, its lovely to meet you."I said with a fake smile. I'm not a fan of meeting parents, because more times than not they hate me.

"Please dear call me Harley and its okay if you call him Adian" Harley said with a small smile.

"Thank you Harley and Adian." I said politely. Harley, Adian, My mother, and father walk to the dinning room with Sadie and I following behind. The food was already on the table, my father probably moved it there.

I take a plate and grab a slice of pineapple and pepperoni pizza. Sadie does the same and she grabs a pineapple pizza.

"We are going to be great friends" I say as she sits down besides me. She laughs and nods her head in agreement. We eat in silence for a little bit until Adian breaks the silence.

"So Ariel your mother told us that you moved here from Arizona, how was it there?" He questions trying to make small talk

"You know when you're taking cookies out if the oven and a wave of heat hits you?" I ask and they nod their heads so I continue "yeah it's like that, but there's no escape, and there's no cookies. Plus there's nothing to do there" I finish 

They had amused smiles on their faces while laughing slightly. After that we just ate in silence. When everyone was done eating, the adults went to the living room while I took Sadie up to my room. I grab my laptop and look up my one of favorite dances  from So You Think You Can Dance: Next Generation (video above). After the video ends I go on Netflix.

"What do you want to watch?" I ask Sadie as she sits next on my bed.

"Um how about Supernatural." She asked

I just smile and put it on from where I left off. Which was season 4. We were half way through season 6 when her parents called. We walked down stairs. We said our good byes and they left. After they left I walked back up stairs to my room. I slipped of my sweatpants so I'm just in panties and a giant t-shirt. I lay down in my bed with my laptop on my lap. I take out my headphones and plug them in. I go to Netflix, then I chose Arrow. I'm on season 3 episode 3, I need to catch up before October 5th. After about 10 episodes I look at the clock that shows 00:00. I'm still not tired so I finish the series, by the time I'm done it's 5:00 o'clock in the morning. Since I have to get up at 6:00 o'clock I just decided to listen to music and scroll through Facebook.
