Let The Games Begin

Chapter 18

We go to my house so I can change and so we can take my car. I pull on jeans and the same sweat shirt I wore. We walked out of my house to my car.

The ride was silent, which made sense. When we got to the mall, I parked the car and we got out. I locked the car and we started to walk towards the mall entrance.
We walked in the first store we saw.

"Jay look at these shirts" I told her holding up two gray shirts with an alien on the right side. One was long sleeved and the other was short sleeved with black around the sleeves and collar.

"We need to get these and where them to school, I'll take the long sleeved one." She said.

She walked towards the pants area. She picked up black skinny jeans with holes on the knee. Then she threw me a pair of black shorts with four gold buttons. We went to try them on. Of course they fit us perfectly.

We went to the check out and paid for them. We walked in and out of stores. I got a few thigh high socks, some skirts, jeans, shirts, shorts, and a few shoes. Jay walked out with the same thing except for the thigh highs, she got dresses instead.

We decided to stop and have lunch at the food court. We both got pizza. We found a place to sit done and started to eat.

"How did your parents take the death of your brother and to what happened to you?" Jay asked, I could tell she wanted to ask something.

"They took losing a kid how any parent would and as for what happened to me they took that pretty hard too. But they didn't blame me for it unlike the rest of my family." I told her truthfully.

"Your family blames you for the death of your brother?" She asked surprise.

"Well my aunt and her kids do, they always liked him more then they liked me. I would over hear them talk when they would come over. They always said I was a mistake, that I could do nothing but get into trouble." I said with a sad smile.

"I'm sorry" is all she said. I nodded my head.

"It's not your fault, plus it makes it even more fun to mess with her" I told Jay with a laugh.

"What about you? Do you have any aunts or uncles?" I asked her.

"Nope, my parents never had any brothers or sisters and my grandparents blame me for their death" she told me. I just nodded my head. We ate in comfortable silence for a while.

"What do you want to do after this? I asked her

"We could go to your place and watch movies" she suggested.

"Sure do you want me to invite everyone?" I asked.

"No I think it should be us two" she told me

"Oh Lett might be there, she has a key to my house, so she shows up uninvited most of the time" I explained to Jay.

"That would be fine. I feel like us three are the closest out of everyone." She exclaimed. I nodded in agreement.

"Shall we go then" I asked considering we finished our food.

"Yeah" she said. We started to walk towards some other stores we wanted to check out before we left. We were about to turn the corner when I saw two people I recognized. I pulled Jay back and she gave me a look of confusion.

"That's Natalia" I said

"Yeah we will just walk by her and her boy toy" Jay said. She began to walk again but I grabbed her.

"That's not her boy toy that's Ray" I said panicking a little. Her face changed to an oh shit look. We hung back waiting for them to go away.

"That's Ray? He looks violent," Jay said in a hushed whisper.

"He is violent" I told her. I checked to see if the coast is clear and they are about to move. Natalia went towards the exit at the back of the mall. And I saw Ray coming towards the other exit which means he has to walk by us.

"Jay turn towards me and just talk. Ray is coming this way" I whispered to her she did what I told her and I turned towards her. I had my hair covering my face hoping he would see me.

"Hello beautiful" he whispered in my ear. I freaked out and but my back against the wall. He came around so he could stand in front of me.

"S-stay away f-from me" I told him stuttering. He smiled because he knew I was afraid of him. He grabbed a piece of my hair and started curling it around his finger.

"Now why would I do that?" He asked in a sinister voice. He put the hair he had in his fingers behind my ear.

"You know it wasn't very nice of you to send me to prison or to run to another country. It took me awhile to find you" he told me with a disappointed look on his face. I was frozen all I could do was stand there and say nothing. I was starting to have a panic attack.

"Your friend Natalia is quite nice, she told me where you guys to school. And we are going to exchange stories soon." He told me with a sinister smile on his face.

"Hey, leave her alone" Jay told him in a stern voice. He laughed and came closer to me.

"Is that your friend? I hope nothing bad happens to her or any of your other friends" he whispered in my ear. Then he kissed my cheek and started to walk away, but before he did he looked at me one last time before saying "see you later cupcake" and then he walked off.

"Ariel are you okay" Jay asked me concerned.

"I will be, let's just go to the stores and get out of here" I said. She nodded in agreement but she was hesitant. We finished our shopping and headed home. When we got home I threw my stuff on the floor and so did Jay.

"Lett I know your here, so come down here." I yelled. A few seconds goes by before we see Lett come down the stairs.

"Hey how was shopping" Lett asked.

"It was fine till a ran into Ray" I told her.

"Are you okay? What happened? Did he say anything?" She asked

"Yeah I'm fine, he was talking to Natalia and he said they were going to share stories soon and that he hopes nothing bad to happen to my friends," I said in a panicked voice.

"Hey it will be okay and we will make sure nothing happens and does Jay know?" Lett told me.

"Yes she knows, I saw her at the grave yard while I was jogging" I told her.

"Why were you at the grave yard?" Scarlett asked Justice. Justice had a uncertain look on her face at first but then she remembered she can trust Scarlett to not judge since she hasn't judge me and she won't tell anyone

"Long story short my parents were murdered by my long lost brother who is trying to kill me because they gave him up for adoption when they were 16-17" Jay told her. Scar nodded understandably.

"Alright let's watch movies," Lett said going into the kitchen to make popcorn. While Jay and I headed to the living room to pick out a movie.

We ended up watching movies all night and we all fell asleep in the living room.
