Layla's part :D
Joey sat outside with me for hours last night, holding me in his arms. The fact that I had to spend the rest of my life calling Sophia Johnson my sister, made me want to rip my hair out and cry. I was so thankful for Joey. If it hadn't been for him, I wouldn't be able to handle it.
I woke up Saturday morning a little later than planned. I checked my phone and I had a message from Joey. How did he even get my number?
It said, 'Hey sleepyhead. When do you plan on getting up? I'M WAITING!'
I smiled and replied, 'I'm up. Give me 20 mins to get ready, K?"
I went into the bathroom and stripped down to get in to the shower. Before I stepped in, my phone buzzed.
He said, 'Ok, but I'm already downstairs in your living room. Ethan is telling me some interesting stories.....'
"ETHAN!" I screamed. I heard the two boys laughter from downstairs. I shook my head and got into the shower. I only took ten minute showers.
I finished up and wrapped a towel around me. I searched through my dresser for something to wear. I didn't know whether to wear something simple or fancy. It was only Joey, but it was still important. I never went out on Saturdays.
"LAYLA!" Joey yelled. I threw on a t-shirt and my favorite pair of skinny jeans.
"Almost ready!" I yelled back. I could hear footsteps coming upstairs.
"Are you naked?" he asked at the top of the stairs.
"You wish," I replied.
He laughed and walked into my room. "You think you're funny, don't you?"
"I think I'm hilarious," I said. I brushed through my hair, attempting to untangle it.
"Well, I would have to agree," he said with a grin. I set my brush down and put on my favorite pair of boots.
"So, where are you dragging me to today?" I wondered.
"I don't know yet. I figured we'd go to the park for awhile and then we can go to the movies tonight?" he suggested.
I stood up. "Sounds okay to me," I said. "Now, let's talk about those stories Ethan was telling you about."
"What? The stories where you ran around naked when you were five? Or how you peed in the pool when you were seven?" he teased.
"JOEY!" I complained. I chased him downstairs and into the living room where Ethan was sitting. "You are so mean!" I said.
"Oh, come on Layla. It's not his fault!" Ethan said.
"Yeah, whatever," I said walking into the kitchen. Joey followed.
"Hey, let's go!" he said. He dragged me out the front door to his car.
I got in the passenger side and slammed the door shut. I turned on the heat.
"Layla, you're going to melt me. Turn the heat down a little bit," Joey teased as he got in the car.
"No, I'm cold," I objected.
"Baby," he said.
"I'm am not a baby," I retorted.
"Maybe I wasn't calling you a baby. Maybe I was just calling you baby. You know, like babe, except with a y," he said trying to save himself.
I laughed. "Nice try, babe," I said mocking him.
He smirked. "I like that. You should call me babe more often," he said.
"How, about no?"
"How about yes?" he replied.
