Josh's P.O.V.

I drove up to the place we were having prom at. It was gorgeous, but no as beautiful as Simon is. Nothing could beat him. Nothing.

"Ready?" I asked as I parked the car.

"No." He said, I could tell he was nervous by the way he looked.

"Oh! I almost forgot." I said as I went in the back and grabbed the flowers.

"Come out." I said opening the door as he just looked at me with puppy dog eyes.

"Do we have to go?" He asked as I smiled.

"Yes, because I want to go with the man I love." I said as he smiled and got out.

I grabbed the flower and put it around his wrist. It looked perfect on him.

"Help me?" I asked as he smiled and grabbed the flower and pinned the flower onto my pocket.

"It looks good." He said smiling as I looked back up at him.

"Come on." I said grabbing his hand as we walked to the front.

We swung our hands back and forth. The momentum started to build up to where our arms started to just swing by themselves. We both just started to laugh hysterically.

We got to the door and I opened it up for him as he said thank you and I followed right behind him.

"I don't think that we have to go." Simon said as we stood on the balcony looking in.

"Come on, for me." I said as I walked down and we grabbed the mask.

I grabbed a black one and Simon grabbed the white.

"Yin and Yang?" I said as he smiled and shoved me a little.

"I just realized how are we suppose to find Tobi and Vik?" Simon asked as I looked around.

"They're over there." I said pointing to the two shorter boys.

"How can you tell?" He asked as I laughed a little.

"Because first off how many Indians and Black people are there in this school? Second off, how many Indians and Black people are friends, and third off how many are dating?" I asked as he looked at me confused.

"Vik and Tobi aren't dating!" He said in shock.

"Come on." I said grabbing his arm as we kept on walking.

We slowly walked over to the new couple as they both just looked up and smiled.

"Hey!" They both said in unison making them then both laugh at the same time.

"Vik is there something you want to tell Simon? Something that I didn't realize you didn't already tell him?" I asked as he furrowed his brows and then soon after the light bulb went off.

"Oh, Tobi and I are together, as more than friends!" He said as I looked over at Simon who was in shock.

"Oh my god, I'm so happy for you two." He said hugging Vik and then slowly grabbing Tobi and I bringing us into the hug.

It felt like everything was finally piecing together. I got the boy, the amazing friend group, perfect grades, and I sent my letter in to Duke. Now I just need to be accepted and get out of this hell hole.
