"Why is it always something to do with fire?" I whine as I see the maze in front of me. The walls are made up of blazing fires. I'm afraid of getting lost. And it's always possible to get lost in mazes. I kick one of the fire walls and the entire maze disappears. I wake up from the sim and breathe heavily.

"How did you get rid of all of the fire?" Four asks, looking at the computer.

"I kicked it." I reply.

"You kicked it? Okay. I need to ask you something and I need the truth." Four says and turns to me. He sits on the stool beside my chair.

"What were your test results?" He asks. I stare at him in confusion. Test results?

"For your Aptitude Test." He says.

"Abnegation." I reply.

"Really? I don't think so. I'm not going to hurt you, Lily. I'm your instructor and I want to help you. I'm your friend." Four says. I close my eyes.

"How do I know Eric isn't listening?" I ask.

"I hate that asshole. I wouldn't let him in here. Even for Peter's sim." Four replies.

"I'm Divergent." I tell him. He nods.

"I figured that. Come back here later tonight and I'll go through my fear landscape with you so I can teach you how a Dauntless would deal with the sim." Four says. I nod.

"Okay." I breathe.

"Don't worry. You're safe around me. Does anyone else know?" Four asks. I nod.

"Tris and her mom. Oh! And Tori." I reply. He nods.

"Okay. Don't trust anyone else with this information. Maybe Peter. But that depends on how much you can trust him." Four tells me. I nod.

"Thank you." I say. Four nods and gives me a small smile.

"My instructor helped me. And I'm determined to do the same for you." Four replies. I gape at him.

"You're Divergent?" I ask in shock. He nods.

"And you're now the only person alive that knows about it." Four says. I frown.

"What happened to your instructor?" I ask.

"He was Divergent and the leaders found out so they pitched him over the Chasm." He replies. My eyes widen.

"Don't worry. They won't find out about you as long as you do as I say." Four tells me. I nod slowly.

"You should go and rest. Come back here after everyone is asleep." Four tells me.

"Um. There might be a little problem. I usually lay with Peter..." I reply.

"Then you'll have to either tell him or think of another way to get him not to follow you." Four says. I nod and sigh.

"Good luck." Four says. I give him a weak smile before leaving. I've kept secrets to keep Peter safe. I'm sure he'd do the same for me. That's it. I'm just going to tell him. I bite my lip when I notice he's waiting for me outside of the sim room.

"Hey. How'd it go?" Peter asks and kisses my forehead.

"Uh. I need to talk to you." I whisper and drag him off to the hallway we were talking in last night.

"What's going on? Are you okay?" Peter asks worriedly.

"Well if this information gets to the wrong people. Then no. I'm not okay." I reply.

"What happened?" Peter asks.

"What were your Test results Peter?" I ask.

"Dauntless." He replies.

"Nothing else?" I ask. He doesn't respond.

"Peter, Sweetheart. You can tell me." I say softly and take his hands in mine.

"Okay. I'm Divergent. You got me. Now you're going to turn me over to Eric right?" Peter asks.

"No! God no! Why the hell would you even think that!?" I exclaim. His posture softens and he nods.

"You're right. Sorry. What about you?" He asks.

"Well since you already came clean I don't have to beat around the bush." I say. He raises an eyebrow.

"I'm Divergent too. Four is going to help me learn how to deal with my fears the way a Dauntless would. After everyone is asleep I have to meet him in the sim room." I reply.

"I already have mine down. That's why Four hasn't found out about me." Peter replies. I sigh in relief.

"Well that means you can hide it really well. At least I don't have to worry as much." I say and hug him. He hugs me back.

"You'll be okay." He says and strokes my hair. I close my eyes and feel a few tears fall down my cheeks.

"You don't know that. I'm terrible at hiding it. They will find me if I don't learn anything from Four." I reply shakily.

"I won't let that happen. I promise." Peter whispers and hugs me tighter.

"I love you." I whisper as I try not to cry.

"I love you too." Peter whispers back. I begin to cry, but I try to keep it silent. They will find out about me. I know they will. It's only a matter of time. I doubt there's anything Four can do to help that would save me. There's nothing Peter can do about it. I have to try. For Ember. For Tris. For Dad. For Natalie. For Peter...For myself.
