chapter five

Ashley's P.O.V

It's been a week since my cursed burn scar decided to bleed sending me to the hospital. Everyday I see Jeff, Ben, and E.J at school but after school I hang out with Masky because Hoodie stays in his room except for when he has to go kill someone. But even then he won't talk to anyone. I feel bad for both of them because they obviously like each other.

So right now it's Saturday and I'm in my room with Masky. I'm sitting on the floor while Masky laid on my bed looking at the ceiling. Where I plastered pictures of my mom. "Hey Ash who is that?" Masky asked pointing at the pictures "Oh that's my mom. I put the pictures there so that I could see her every time I wake up" I said smiling. "She's really pretty no wonder your pretty" Masky commented.

"Okay I know that you mean that as a friend since you like a boy but I like boys too so don't say stuff like that okay!?" I said hiding my face on my bed. I heard him chuckle "yeah okay".

My blush went away and I stopped hiding my face. "You are quiet today something on your mind Mask?" I asked using his nickname I gave him. "I miss him Ash I really fudged up badly" he confessed. "Yep you so did" I agreed. "Hey your supposed to be my friend" Masky whined. "I am it's just you really did fudge up" I said chuckling a little.

"But I'm going to help you so don't worry" I said with a smile. "And why would you help me?" he asked "because your my best friend duh stupid" I said rolling my eyes playfully. "But I have Hoodie as a best friend" Masky said confused. "Nah he is your crush not your best friend. I mean you guys can still be friends but if I'm successfully you guys will be dating happily" I said determined.

"Okay then Ash you and Hoodie are my best friends" Masky said I think he smiled. "Now enough about me how about you who's your crush?" Masky asked turning onto his stomach facing me. The mattress creaked as he moved and I giggled. "Well actually I don't have a crush on anybody at the moment" I said truthfully.

"And why's that?" Masky asked. "Because I don't have time for boys and all the boys I know are either childish or jerky" I explained we both laughed. "Well except for Hoodie he's a keeper" I reassured. "Yeah he is" Masky said sadly. 'He's so sad about Hoodie and it's my fault for asking making him lie' I thought.

"Hey Mask let's go eat lunch then maybe I could go to your house where Hoodie is and I could talk to him?" I suggested. "I don't know Ash my house is scary" Masky said nervously. "I ain't scared of nothing... besides tall faceless monsters" I whispered the last part.

"Okay then fine but only to talk to Hoodie" Masky said seriously. I nodded and we went to go eat lunch.

~time skip to after lunch~

"That was good now I want cheesecake" I said running to my fridge. "What you have cheesecake?!" Masky asked shocked. "Heck yeah of course I do it's delicious" I said rolling my eyes playfully. "Give me some right now!" Masky demanded. I laughed and gave him some cake. after we finished our cake Masky and I got ready to go to his house. I was buzzing with excitement I could barely put my shoes on. 

Once I was ready to go I jumped down the front the steps Masky followed after me boredly. I looked behind myself and frowned. "Don't you want to go see Hoodie?" I asked a little sad. I heard him sigh "of course I do but I just don't think that it'll help" Masky explained truthfully. I walked over to my yellow clad friend and hugged him tight. "It'll help I just know it" I whispered before  breaking the hug. I smiled quickly wiping away the tear that threatened to fall. 'It has to help!' I thought. 

Hoodie's P.O.V

'Why would Masky say that?! I thought he liked me!' I thought crying. 'I thought he.. loved me' I thought letting out a silent sob. *Knock knock* I looked at the door."G-GO A-AWAY!" I yelled. "Um... hi Hoodie I'm Ashley remember me from a week ago at the hospital and park?" it was a girl's voice. "Y-yeah I-I r-remember y-you" I replied. "Can I come in Hoodie?" she asked. "A-are y-you a-alone?" I asked cautiously I didn't want Masky near me. "Yeah I'm alone" she reassured. I walked over and opened the door. there standing was a middle height brown haired yellow eyed teenage girl with the proxy symbol on her neck. 'I bet it's her!' I thought glaring at her. 

"H-he l-likes y-you" I said softly and sadly. "who Ben? Nah I think he likes Jeff from the way they stare at each other at school... man is it creepy" she shuddered at the last part. "N-no I-I m-mean M-Masky" I said. she made a 'oh' face and smiled. "Of course he likes me.... as a friend of course" she explained laughing a little. 'This is not a laughing matter!' I thought. "Anyway I came here to talk to you about relationships is that okay?" Ashley asked. 'That is like the last thing I want to talk about' I thought looking away. "Did you say that?!" she asked shouting. "s-say w-what?" I asked confused. "That you didn't want to talk about relationships?" Ashley asked. I shook my head "I-I t-thought t-that" I explained. "Then I can hear people's thoughts" Ashley concluded. 

"Anyway we're getting off track here. Can I come in?" she asked. "I-I g-guess" I replied moving aside for her. Ashley pretty much skipped into my room. "Hoodie who's your crush?" Ashley suddenly asked as she sat on my floor. "I-it's n-none -of y-your b-business" I said bluntly as I closed the door. I walked over and sat on my bed again. "Well I know someone who does have a crush on you" she said with a smile. 'But I only want Masky' I thought. "His name is Tim he's a very close friend of mine" she said. "And when I mean close I mean he's right there" she pointed behind to the door. I looked there seeing Masky standing looking like the most handsomest thing ever. "Wait! Hoodie let him explain!" Ashley yelled.

Ashley's P.O.V

Once I said that I meant close I meant behind me that was Masky's cue to open the door and look all smexy and cool. 'I knew this would help' I thought smiling. I quickly crawled out of the way as Masky dashed into the room clobbering Hoodie into a hug. "Aww" I said smiling.

I saw the two remove their masks just a little showing their mouths. 'Their gonna kiss because me!' I thought happily. Three..... two..... one... kiss. Masky and Hoodie shared a very beautiful and passionate kiss. 'I'm gonna cry that is so beautiful!' I thought wiping away a tear. they broke the kiss and laughed. "Do I really need to explain?" Masky asked with a smirk. we all laughed well Masky laughed since I'm a girl I giggled and Hoodie giggled because logic doesn't exist ^^.
