Yoongi remembers when he finally admitted to himself that he loved Jimin.
That he wanted to be with him.
It seemed like every feeling was different after he realized it.
Honestly, he probably had his parents to thank for it, as much as he hated to say that. If it wasn't for them not being on speaking terms with Yoongi, Jimin would've never invited him to come over for Christmas.
"So Yoongi, are you going home for Christmas?" Jungkook looked up from his phone. He was probably texting Taehyung to see if he was ok. The older had left for his hometown, also Yoongi's, Daegu last night.
Yoongi laughed at the boy's question. He hadn't seen his family since they sent him to this performing arts school when he was 12, 6 years ago, "If I go home for Christmas they might not even let me in the house."
"What happened there?" Jimin had looked up from his suitcase. He was leaving for Busan tomorrow with Jungkook.
"A lot." Yoongi didn't really want to specify.
Jungkook sighs and brings his phone down from his face and looks at Yoongi, "a lot being what? Now I'm curious."
Jimin was about to scold the youngest for being impolite when Yoongi interrupted him, "When I was little they always forced me to play the piano. Sure I love it now but I get to decide when and what I play unless a teacher tells me to do differently. But they were really harsh when making me practice. As long as they were able to make money off of me playing they didn't care about me. That why they sent me here, to get better, but when I was 16 they called and we got into it over the phone. I said the only reason they still call me their son is because I make them money. They said that I was an ungrateful little ass. I also came out to them by saying it's a Damn good thing I make them money or I would've been disowned for being gay. You can imagine how that went. We haven't spoken since then. Honestly, the only reason they still pay for me to go here is so they don't have to see me." Yoongi laughed, "So yeah, no family Christmas."
"Well, that fucking sucks." Jungkook had laughed and Jimin hit his arm and muttered something about not being polite.
"It does kind suck, but we were never a real close family. I mean Christmas was almost like every other day when I was a kid. The only difference being my brother and I exchanging small gifts we didn't let our parents know about. They wouldn't even do anything special if I came. If anything, it would just lead to arguing."
Jimin was quite for a while until he looked Yoongi right in the eyes, a look of determination on his face, and said, "Come to my house for Christmas."
"Um, what?"
"You heard me. Come with me to Busan. Meet my family. Have Christmas with us instead of being alone."
"Jimin I don't know-"
Jimin plopped down on the couch beside Yoongi, attaching himself to the eldest, "Please Yoongi! It would be great! All the people I love and my best friend under the same roof! It would be so so great. Please please please plea-"
"Jimin I don't even know anything about your family. Like if I say yes I'm going to need some background information or something." Yoongi was so scared to meet Jimin's parents. The thought terrified him. He had never been good with adults.
"I'll tell you everything you need to know. Yoongi please, it would be great if you were with me." Jimin had given him puppy dog eyes.
HOW WAS HE SUPPOSED TO SAY NO TO THAT????
Yoongi let out a long sigh. He knew when he was defeated, "Ok Jimin. I'll go. But you have to give me the run down on your family because I would like to know a little bit going into this."
