As a child blindly I listened
It was good enough for me to be happy
As I went to school I remembered you
You were the best part of my day
You reminded me to be my best
And always make sure to get some rest
But some point I had forgotten some
Grew up a little too fast for fun
Became a little to cynical
Around then my happiness began to fall
Why was it at some point I forgot you
Yet you stuck by me like glue
I wouldn't be here if you didn't
You watched over me when I wouldn't
Today I remembered you
And just how much I loved you too
It took me six years too long
But I hope you remember that little song
I sang it as a lullaby
Told you my day and the shade of sky
Goodnight tonight I'll remember you
I'll talk to you again sometime soon
