Chapter 10- Land of Waves

Sayuri's POV

I have spent three days so far looking around the village. I've seen Naruto around and have watched him now and then. Right now I had received a letter from the Hokage that Naruto and his team are to be leaving the village for a mission. I already got dressed in my ANABU outfit and was now waiting at the gates for them to appear. I sat in a tree as Naruto and his team approached. I looked them over and felt like I knew one of the kids. As I looked at Naruto's Sensei I noticed him straight away. It was my old friend Kakashi Hatake!!

'I'll have to be careful if his Naruto's Sensei.' I thought.

I had followed them for over an hour. During that hour they were only attacked once. I didn't get involved, but Naruto got hurt and Kakashi allowed it to happen. I was so going to hurt him for allowing that. After a few more hours they had to cross the water. I waited till they were a few minutes ahead before I followed. When we were on the other side. In the land of waves, they were attacked. This time by a high S rank ninja. The S rank was non other then Zabuza Momochi.

I watched as they fought Zabuza. As I watched I senses another presence. The presence was coming a few trees away from me. When I was going to go see, the battle turned. Kakashi who was once hostage was now winning the fight. As Kakashi was about to kill Zabuza, I remembered the time Zabuza helped me. I still needed to repay him. So, before Kakashi was going to take the final blow, I took out some Senbon Neddles and aimed for Zabuza's neck.

When they pierced Zabuza's neck, he fell to the ground. Everyone looked at Zabuza's body in shock. Kakashi then slowly made his way towards the body and started to look for a pulse.

"He's dead." Kakashi said, when he found nothing. All of a sudden I sensed a presence behind me and a Kuni was held to my neck. It wasn't Kakashi and it wasn't the young ones. It was the one I sensed.

"I know your not really an ANABU and that your actually working along side Zabuza. Oh! And as you can tell, I didn't kill him." I said.

"Why help?" He asked.

"Let's just say... An old debt." I replied.

After I said that, he released me, but with caution. And as this was happening Naruto was having a small skits. Also after that, Kakashi spoke.

"You might as well come out!" He said.

"I'll do you a favour for making my job easier." The boy said, as he jumped to a different tree. "Thank you. I've been after him for some time." He said, acting as if he was the one who did it.

"Why you!!" Naruto said, angrily.

"Naruto! He's not our enemy." Kakashi said, stopping Naruto. "Your ANABU from the Mist." He continued, now speaking to the boy.

"Yes. Now I must be going. There are a lot of secrets in this body that mush not be shared." The boy said, as he picked up Zabuza's large body over his shoulder and teleported somewhere.

"You might as well come out as well!" Kakashi said after a few minutes. I then jumped out of the tree and onto the ground. Naruto jumped, for I landed a few feet behind him. The other two students went on high alert and Kakashi just looked at me. "Your an ANABU from our village. Why are you here?" He asked.

"The Hokage had his slights about this mission. So he sent me to make sure nothing bad happens." I lied.

"Alright then." Kakashi said, unsure to believe me or not.

When he was about to say something else, he fell backwards. Before he could hit the ground and as the kids just called out his name, I flashed to him and caught him. I looked at him and seen he was out cold. He must have pushed his limits in the battle.

"Seeing how your Sensei is out cold. I'm in charge. So listen to me. We need to get the old man to his house and keep him safe till the bridge is built. Tazuna, wasn't it? You lead the way back to your house. Kids, make sure to watch him carefully and his surroundings. I'll take care of your Sensei." I ordered.

And with that. I picked up Kakashi and put him on my back. The old man lead the way to his home and the kids watched our surroundings.

When we arrived Tazuna's daughter, Tsunami, was there. She lead me to a room so I could let Kakashi rest and helped look after the kids while I checked the perimeter. When I finished checking the perimeter I flashed into Kakashi's room. I stayed there and watched his peaceful form for a while. When I was about to leave I was stopped.

"Why are you really here?" Kakashi asked.

"Nothing gets past you. Kakashi. I'm actually here because I was assigned to be another Sensei for your team." I replied.

"But why did you keep hidden and why are you still wearing your ANABU suit?" He asked.

"Because I'm still an ANABU and I think you can figure the rest." I answered.

"How long have you been an ANABU?" He asked.

"Why do you want to know?" I questioned.

"Because I haven't seen that mask. For a very long time." He replied.

"I've only been an ANABU for what seems like a short amount of time." I replied. "Also. Get some rest. For a none Uchiha to use the Sharigan to much, it will leave some strain." I said before leaving.

"Ha? Wait!" He said, but I was gone.
