Chapter 18- Shopping Spree

The next morning I was up bright and early. I was hoping to get some shopping done, for the clothes I have here would no longer fit. 'I should probably go buy some clothes for Yuki too.' Looking at the clock I seen it was almost 7 o'clock. 'Better get a move on.'

Getting out of bed, I walked towards the bathroom to get organised for my day. After I was dressed, I made my way to the kitchen to prepare breakfast. As I was about to finish Yuki and Naruto walked out.

"Good morning." I smiled at them.

"Morning." The replied in unison, wiping the sleep from their eyes.

"What's for breakfast?" Yuki asked.

"I though I'd make some pancakes for breakfast this morning." I replied.

"Yay!!" They cheered.

"Here you go." I smiled, setting a stack in front of them.

"Thank you for the meal!" They dug in.

"Naruto. I need to go do some shopping today. Will you be alight taking care of Yuki for me today?" I asked.

"I can't. The Third exams are later today." He replied.

"I see."

"Third exams?" Yuki questioned.

"You don't know what the exams are?" Naruto asked.

"She doesn't exactly know much about ninjas yet Naruto." I replied. "So Yuki. Do you want to come shopping with me today or do you want to stay here till I get back?" I asked.

"Can I go with you?" She asked.

"Sure. I only need to buy some more clothes." I smiled.

"I'll go get ready then." She said, making her way back inside.

"Is she finished?" She looked to Yuki's Pancakes.

"I don't know." I replied. "Naruto. When about is the third exams?"

"Just before lunch." He replied.

"Well I'll be sure to be there. You better make sure you win." I smiled.

"You better believe it!" He cheered.

"I'm ready." Yuki said, making her way back into the room.

"Okay. We'll let's go." I smiled. "Be good Naruto." I said, making my way out of the house with Yuki. Walking threw the streets, it started out quiet. But it wasn't long till everyone was up and walking about.

"Sayuri?" I heard a voice say behind me. Turning around I seen Kurenai and Asuma.

"I'll be dammed. Look at you." Asuma smiled, a smoke between his lips.

"I always knew you weren't dead." Kurenai smiled.

"Good to know someone believed so. So. You two dating yet?" I smirked.

"What!? No!" Kurenai cried.

"Hehe. I'm only joking Kurenai." I laughed.

"Oh yea. Then what about you and Kakashi?" She smirked.

"Your kidding? I only just got back. And we're only team mates." I replied.

"Your more then that. And everyone knows it." She smiled.

"If your referring to the night she stayed at Kakashi's. It was just a sleep over at most. Nothing happened." Yuki spoke.

"Hu? And you are?" Kurenai asked.

"Kurenai. Asuma. This is Princess Yuki of the Star Village. Yuki. This is Kurenai and Asuma. Their friends of mine." I introduced to them.

"Its nice to meet friends of mothers." Yuki bowed.

"It's nice to meet you Yuki. Wait! Mother?" Kurenai stared at me in shock.

"It's a long story. I'll explain it if you follow us. We need to do some shopping before we go watch the exams." I smiled, scratching the back of my neck.

Walking threw the now crowded streets, I explained everything. At first they didn't know what to believe, but they did in the end.

"So wow. Your actually a mother. And since we were kids! When we're you going to tell us?" Kurenai smiled.

"As I said. I only found out I was her chosen mother till recently." I replied.

"What's this? A delicate young flower like you is already a mother?" I heard a voice say behind me. It was all way to familiar.

"Hello Guy." I said, turning around to face.

"Are my eyes deceiving me?" He said, rubbing his eyes.

"No. There not. It's me guy." I shook my head.

"My youthful butterfly!" He cried, rushing to hug me. Jumping into the air and over his head, I dodged the hug. "Sayuri!!" He cried, tears streaming from his face.

"Sorry Guy. But your hugs will crush me to death. You don't want to make my daughter an orphan do you?" I questioned. "Anyway. I must be getting this shopping done. I'll have to see you guys later."

"I'll come with youse." Kurenai said.

"Sure. But we're not going to go all crazy. All right?" I said.

It took us a few hours but we finally got the shopping done. I even ended up running into a few old friends. But as of now, Yuki and I were on our way home to return our shopping.

"I'm tired..." Yuki cried, collapsing on the lounge.

"Well we still have a an hour till the chunnin exams. Why don't you get some sleep. I'll go put our clothes away." I smiled, only to see her already fast asleep. 'She must have been tired.' Going towards one of the draws, I pulled out a blanket. Making sure not to wake her, I placed the blanket on her before going to my room.

"Summon." I said in a whisper. Only to have piles of clothes appear in front of me. "Well. This should keep me busy till then." I smiled. And like that I began to sort the clothes.

Yuki's POV

Falling onto the lounge in exhaustion. I soon found myself in a deep sleep. Only to find myself having a vision.

Standing in the stands of an arena, I seen people laying unconscious around me. The village was under attack. Looking around I tried to spot mother. Not seeing her anyway, I went looking for her. Coming towards the exit of the arena I seen mother fighting a strange man.

I was to far to notice any details or hear their conversation. But all I did see was mother pounce at the man only to be cut in half.

"Mother!!!!"
