Chapter 11: Revenge is sweet

"Oh I forgot to mention but my parents got back in town this morning. There going to meet us at the hospital."

"Wait what? How could something like that slip your mind!? I like, shouldn't even be there then.."

"What are you talking about Pat? Why shouldn't you be there? They said to bring Jase, and if they had of known you, and that you were staying with us they would of told me to bring you along too. And I guess I just got distracted."

We had just dropped Nathan off at his school. Much to his dismay, and were now on our way to the hospital.

"Don't worry about him Kat, he's just nervous cause he's having to meet your family." Jason joked "big scaredy cat, first your over protective brother and now your parents? It's like he's your boyfriend, and there all starring him down. Don't worry mate, there going to be fussing over drake, and besides if they were worried about one of us coming onto Kat, they would be more worried about me.. You know, cause I'm so much more attractive an all."

"Your know, I am here" I say even though I'm laughing at what Jase has said.

"That's not funny Jase. What if they are angry I've been crashing with you guys?"

"Well, there's only one way to find out" I conclude turning the radio up signaling the end of the conversation, and pretty soon the three of us were singing at the top of our lungs, completely obvious to the fact were all terrible singers, but just enjoying the music.

"Guess what!" I ask, smirking at my brother. We had been at the hospital for almost an hour, and I only just remembered my parents were on there way.

"What? Tell me tell me!!"

"Well you certainly are still your annoying self aren't you?" I giggle, and drake poked his tongue out "mu-" I was cut off by my mother as she walked thorough the door, dad in toe

"Guess who!"

"Mum? Dad? Hey!" Drake screamed as soon as he saw them both

"Oh my baby! Your awake! Honey I love you!!!" Mum cooed as she showered him with hugs and kisses. "I never though I would here your voice again!"

"Let the man breath" my dad said as he walked over to the bed and embraced drake before coming over to me and giving me a hug and light kiss on the cheek. "How are you sweet heart?"

"I'm great dad. And I'm glad were all here together, As a family. " I smile as my mother gives me a small hug.

"Thankyou, for looking after my daughter while I was away, I am very grateful" my father says shaking Jason's hand

"My absolute pleasure sir"

"Oh yeah mum, the doctor wants to talk to you guys too!" I tell her

"We'll I guess we better go find him, think you can look after each other while where gone?"

"I think we'll manage mum" drake laughs "oh by the way did you bring me those magazines?"

"Yeah Pat has them" I reply "wait where is Pat?" The three of us look around the room as if confirming his absence

"He probably bailed when your parents came in" Jase suggested "he'll turn up."

"Damn! I really wanted to read some of them"

"Let's play cards?" A huge smile spread across his face at my suggestion

"Only if we're betting."

I share a look with drake, matching his smile- poor Jason has it coming for him

"What do you say Jase. You up for a little game? I'll even go easy on you"
