Avi POV So today's the day I'm going to ask Kirstie to marry me. I'm downstairs making breakfast and I see a glowing woman come down the stairs. "Hey babe. What's going on?" Kirstie comes walking in and kisses me. I decided to make her pancakes, which I know she doesn't have a bad sensitivity for. Once breakfast is finished, we go to the living room, and talk. After a little bit, Kirstie's mom joins us, and asks, "What are you guys doing today?"
"Well, Ms. Maldonado, we were hoping to have a day to ourselves."
"I might go by Martin High and show Avi where it all started." Kirstie says. "Well you two go have fun. I'll be here with my friend Brian." I see Kirstie wiggle her eyebrows. "Who's this Brian guy?" She asks and her mom blushes. "You are so telling me about this later. But right now we're going to go meet up with our friends Scott and Mitch." I look at her confused and she just shrugs. "Ok, don't get lost." Kirstie laughs heading upstairs to get ready

Once she is ready we head to the car.
"So what are you two doing in Texas?" Kirstie asks after we take a seat in the Starbucks. "Visiting my family." Mitch says. I nod. "Cool." "I'm going to get something to drink. Yall want anything?" Kirstie asks while standing up. "A white mocha." Mitch and Scott say at the same time. "Ok, you want anything Avi." "No thanks I'm good." She nods and head towards the cashier. Once she's out of hearing range I lean in. "I need yalls help." I say and Mitch and Scott look up from their phones. "What's up?" Mitch asks. "I need yalls help. I want to propose to Kirstie tonight bu-" Mitch cuts me off. "Ahh, that's so awesome!" He yells. "Shh..." I look around to see if Kirstie heard. She didn't and turn back to the guys. "Yeah, but I need you two to help me set up." "Sure, what do you need us to do?" "Go to Kirstie's house, I'll text you the address, her mom has everything you need and she'll also take you to where I plan to propose." "What time do you expect to be there?" "I'd say about six. Just in time for the sunset." They both nod and we sit back right as Kirstie walks over. "Here you go." She sets the drinks down and sits down. "So what do two have planned for the day?" Kirstie asks Mitch and Scott. "Just hanging out with family, it's my niece's birthday." She nods then looks at her phone. "Well we better get going it's almost 10. Bye guys. See yall later." We stand up and head back out to the car. "Here I'll drive." She says. I hand over the keys and get in. While Kirstie is driving I text Scott Kirstie's address. ~~~~~~~~~ "We're here!" She cheers and climbs out of the car. I laugh at how she excited she is and follow her. "Ok, let's head to the office to sign in then we can go look around.
Once we sign in she shows me around. "This is where it all started for me, this class is the reason I ended up in LA." She says while we stand outside the music room. While looking in I see the music teacher look over. Kirstie's smile immediately widens. I see the teacher wave us in and Kirstie opens the door. "Mr. Jake." Kirstie goes over and pulls him into a hug. "Kirstie Maldonado, never would I have thought you would walk through those door again especially pregnant. I always thought you would be married to your singing career. Class this is Kirstie she was one of my most gifted students." Kirstie blushes. "Yeah, that career didn't work out like I thought. Anyways, this is Avi my boyfriend." The teacher holds out his hand and I shake it. Just then I hear someone clear their throats in the class. "Well we better get going just wanted to stop by." Kirstie says. "Wait, in class we're learning your song. Why don't you show them?" "Never never land?" He nods. "Ok, will you do piano?" "Of course." I step over to the side of the room and watch Kirstie get into place.
After she finishes singing the whole room claps. "Just like I taught you." "Sure is, but we really should go." She hugs him one more time and I shake his hand. "Nice meeting you. You better take care of her, she was like the daughter I never had." I nod. Kirstie takes my hand and we head out to the car. "You were amazing back there. I forgot how amazing your voice was." "Thanks." "So where to next?" I ask while pulling out of the parking lot. "Take the next right and keep going straight there's going to be a little café." I follow her directions and end up at the café she described. We go take a seat and immediately a waitress come to get our drinks. While telling her my drink I see her looking at Kirstie. "Do I know you? You look so familiar." Kirstie looks her in the eyes before gasping. "Morgan Keith?!? It's me Kirstie from high school." "Oh my gosh. I can't believe it." Kirstie stands up and pulls her into a hug. "How have you been?" "I'm doing well. But how about you?" Morgan says while pulling back and looking at Kirstie's somewhat noticeable bump. Kirstie laughs. "I've been doing really well. I'm here with my boyfriend visiting my mom. Which reminds me, as you probably guessed, Avi this is Morgan she was my best friend in high school. Morgan this is Avi my boyfriend and baby daddy." I stand up and shake her hand. "Nice to meet you." She smiles. "Well I better go get your drinks." And with that she walks to the back. We sit down and I look at Kirstie. "You know for someone 11 weeks pregnant with twins your rocking the heels." She burst out laughing. "Yeah I guess I am, huh." For the rest of lunch, we sit around and talk about random stuff. At 4:00 we leave and I start the hour long drive.
While in the car my phone rings and I click the blue tooth button.
"Hello?"
"Hey Avi its Ben."
"Oh hey, what's up?"
"Just wondering when I should expect your stuff to be sent here."
When he says that I remember I'm supposed to move to New York.
"Look about that. It turns out I won't be moving to New York, I fixed everything that was going on."
"Ok well then I guess I'll be seeing you in LA."
"Yeah alright bye."
I hang up and look over at Kirstie who has a smile on her face. "I love you." She says. I take her hand and smile back. "I love you too."
About 30 minutes later we pull up and I help her out of the car before handing her a blindfold. "Put this on, I have a surprise." She rolls her eyes but puts it on. "You better not let me fall. "Don't worry I won't. Ok now stand right here." She stands still and I get on one knee. "Ok take off the blind fold."
Kirstie POV "Ok take off the blindfold." I take it off and find Avi on one knee holding a box with a beautiful ring in it. I gasp and tears spring into my eyes. "Kirstin Taylor Maldonado, we have been through hell and back together. Between our first baby and then the cheating I never thought I would fall back in love with you. But of course you proved me wrong. I've fallen in love with you even more than I could possibly imagine. I promise that I will always be there for you and these babies. That's why right now I'm asking if you will marry me and become Kirstin Taylor Kaplan." I start crying and all I can do is nod before kneeling in front. "I love you so much." I say. "I love you too." He slips the ring on my figure before pulling me into a kiss. When we pull away he stands up and helps me. Now I get the chance to look around. We are standing on a cliff where the trees and covered in fairy lights and pictures. Behind us the sun is setting. "It's beautiful." Avi nods. "Thanks to Scott, Mitch, and your mom. They took the time to hang all these lights and pictures of us while we were out today." I let out a yawn and smile. "Come on let's get you to the car." He takes my hand and we walk back.
Once I'm in the car it doesn't take long for me to fall asleep to the sound of Avi quietly humming.
