Chapter 4

Avi POV
I walk out of Kirstie's room and head straight to mine. I wish I knew why she would cheat on me. We were so happy and then she threw it all away. I let out a sigh and lay back down. Just then my phone buzzes and I see it is my friend from New York. "Hey Ben what's up?" "Hey Avi. Just letting you know that I just found out that my job is moving me to L.A but you can still have the apartment in New York. It's been paid off and everything." "Thank you SO much Ben. This means a lot." "It's no problem. You said you'll be moving at the end of the year?" "Yeah, so about 4 months." "Alright, well then I'll see you then." I hang up and look at my ceiling. I can't believe I'm actually going to move out. Never in a million years did I expect to leave Kirstie even if she cheated. But I guess I just had enough of her crappy attitude. While laying there I hear what sounds like someone crying but I don't give it a second thought and fall asleep.

THE NEXT MORNING
"You worthless piece of trash get in the bag!" I shoot up in bed when I hear Kirstie yelling. I poke my head out my door and see she is struggling to get something in a bag. I hold back a laugh and pull my head back into my room. "Mind as well get ready for the day." I say to myself while walking into my closet.

After I get dressed I walk into the living room to see Kirstie isn't here. I bet she went out partying. I sigh and turn the TV on. While watching Game of thrones I hear a knock on the door. I go get it and see Scott with some people I don't recognize. "Hey Avi. I thought I would introduce you to my room mates. My boyfriend Mitch." He says while pointing to a small brunette guy. "And Kevin." I smile and wave them in. "Why don't yall come in I'm just watching TV." They nod and follow me in. "So where's Kirstie?" Scott ask. I shrug. "Probably out partying like always. I gave up trying to keep up with where she is." Scott nods and I see Kevin looking around. "Y'all have a beautiful apartment." "Thanks, but it won't be ours for much longer." Mitch looks confused. "What do you mean?" "I'm moving to New York at the end of the year. The only reason I haven't moved out yet is because I don't want to put off all the payments on Kirstie." I explain and they nod. Scott finally pipes and says, "So Kirstie can live here by herself? Does she knows out the fact that you're moving out?" I nod and say, "Yeah, she knows. I told her last night. I think I saw her let a tear or two go. She started to clean out her closet. Actually do you guys wanted to stay for dinner? Kirstie promised Scott dinner when he was here the other day." Scott looked at Mitch and Kevin. Mitch said, "Sure, we would love to. Also, Avi or Scott, could you fill us in on what's going on?" I clarified it for Kevin and Mitch. "So basically what happened was Kirstie and I dated for 3 years and we broke up because she cheated on me with her now ex-boyfriend. I was going to propose marriage to her. We were talking over and over again about how much we wanted to be together. When Scott was over here, she told me she was IN LOVE with me. And then everything hit the fan, as they say." Mitch and Kevin nodded. Kevin said, "So if you don't mind me asking, when did she start partying?" I had to think about that for a minute. "While we were dating, I think she would every once in a blue moon. Not often." Kirstie walks in while I continue talking to the boys. "But since we've been broken up, she's been partying every night. Its her way of coping with our break up, but I still love her and I want her back."
