The building was quiet except for the security guards walking around with their flashlights. They were so focused on the inside of the building that they did not hear what was going on outside. Kyle and three other kids were standing outside the building, and as the kids walked to the front of the school, Kyle walked to his house, which was right outside of the school. He walked into his room, where all of his computers were set up. He put in his comm, which the others had put in already.
"Okay guys, I am gonna do a quick roll call, just to be sure you are all still there. Okay, Andre Hardison?"
"I'm here man, but why in the hell would you take roll call if we all can see each other right now?"
Andre asked, as he set up his computer. By the time Kyle had gotten inside his house, the others had gotten on to the roof. It wasn't too hard to scale the building.
"I don't trust you, and I can't see you, so I am taking role call wether you like it or not. Okay, next, Alivia Spencer?"
"Here, but I don't like this. I work alone." Alivia said, as she put her glasses on.
"We all do, but we have to work together now. And finally, Skylar Hardison?"
I'm right here and ready to roll boss!" Skylar said as she set up her ropes.
"Okay, perfect, now I need all of you to get into the main office and get into the computers. Then Andre will hack in and get them, Parker will watch on the security cameras for any guards, and Alivia will fend off any guards. On my count, go inside. One...two...thr-"
"YEAHHHHHHH!" was all they heard from Skylar jumping into the roof hatch, and almost landed on the ground in the security office, but at the last second, her ropes tightened and stopped the impact.
"Dude, your sister is crazy," Alivia said, looking at Andre with a weird face. Andre just shook his head. Skylar undid her ropes and landed on the floor with a gentle thud. She ran over to the computers and looked up and down the hallway on the screen. "You guys are all clear to come down." Skylar said, and watched as Alivia did a graceful flip to the ground, but laughed when Andre fell down and almost land on Alivia.
"Dammit, Hardison!" She yelled, but then was cut off of the rest of her rambling when Kyle said,
"You guys better hurry, we don't have much time." That sent Alivia and Andre to their feet, and started running down the hallway out of the security room and to the main office, which was at the other side of the school. When they got there, Andre pulled out this phone looking thing and pressed it up against the keypad that required a password to get into the office. The phone would tell him the password once it loaded. It was taking forever, but then Skylar said, "The guards are heading your way, you better hurry up. You have like, 20 seconds."
"That's not enough time, we need more time." Andre said, starting to panic.
"Okay Alivia, this is where you come in. Use Andre as bait." Kyle said, and Alivia nodded and left.
"I ain't nobodies bait," Andre said, but still continued to stand there. When he heard the guards footsteps, he set the phone on the ground and went to stand in the middle of the hallway, grabbing his duffle bag. The guards came around the corner and saw him. "Freeze! Put your hands in the air and drop the bag!" The one shouted, so Andre put his hands up. They all looked really confused that a kid had broken in, and Andre took the opportunity to drop the bag, and gave Alivia a chance to come up behind them and start fighting. She kicked one guy in the back of the knee, and elbowed him in the face, knocking him out. The next guy went to grab her, but she kneed him in the stomach and punched him in the face. The finally guy tried to shoot her, but she grabbed it, twisted it out of his hand, and headbutted him, then unloaded the gun. All Andre could do was stare. As Alivia knocked out the last guard and he fell to the floor, the duffle bag finally hit the floor. Alivia just smiled at him. That's when they heard the beep, showing that the door had been opened. They walked inside the office and immediately went to the computers. They opened up the files, extracted them, and started to leave.
"Guys, we have a problem, apparently there are two guards standing outside, waiting for you guys to come out."
"Every man for himself, then," Alivia said and started to walk away.
"Hey, no one is leaving until we are all safe outside. Guys, you can exit out the windows, but wait for Skylar to come through the air vents." Kyle said, starting to get annoyed. "If I learned anything from my dad, it's to stick together."
"Where do you think we got our skills from? YouTube tutorials? We got them from our parents, too." Andre said, and at that moment Skylar fell out of the air vent onto the floor.
"That's twenty pounds of crazy in a five pound bag. That's what my dad said about his old companion." Alivia said, smiling.
"That's funny, my mom told me her old friend used to tell her that, too. Weird." Skylar said.
"Okay guys, you got to hurry up. I can hear sirens I'm the distance."
Kyle stated, starting to worry. Skylar broke the window, and they all climbed out and ran to the house.
"Great! Now we just email Mathew the files and tomorrow before school, we should get the $500. Good work, guys. I honestly had fun. But never again. We still work alone. Got it?" Kyle told them, and got a chorus of got its. Andre emailed the files to Mathew, and they all did their walk away.
