I looked behind me.

I was getting self-conscious. 

My hand was twitching at my side. 

Why had I lied to Taylor?

I'm such a horrible person.

I felt a tap on my shoulder.

"AH!" I yelled and jumped back seeing Taylor. A scowl was scrolled on her face and her arms were crossed. 

"So? Who'd you tell?" She asked coming closer to me. I shrank under her. 

"Ummm. I-I only told my best friend!  But then she told her friend and well now the whole school knows..." I muttered. 

Her face grew red with anger then her face softened into worry. She gasped and looked around.

"Does Ricky know?" She asked urgently closing in on me.

"Yes?" I muttered slowly backing away. Her face exploded in worry and anger and she walked away her movements shaky yet firm. 

What had I done?

I had heard it from a friend who had heard it from there friend who had heard it from their little sister who had heard it from Wendy. 

My sister,

was dating my best friend.

"Yeah she's dating him." Issac said so calmly. 

I was shocked. I was taken aback. My head was spinning. My little sister was dating my BFF. 

I took in a deep breath. "Do you know where Taylor is?" I asked looking around. 

"No. Actually wait maybe she's at your lunch table already?" He said and shrugged, walking away.

I would kill Jake.

I saw him approach the lunch table. 

People sitting down around me there included Jake, Kelly, August, Dean, and Peter. 

They all back away except Jake. They all looked pretty worried.

But they all knew what was happening. 

People from other tables seemed to know too. They encircled the table. 

Where were the teachers?

My brother walked up to the table and Jake shielded me from an upcoming hurricane. 

I flinched closing my eyes but no sounds came to my ears. I opened my eyes and gasped. 

Ricky had sat down and was quietly talking to Jake. The crowd sighed and booed then walked away disappointed from no drama. Then I saw them shake hands and Ricky walked away. 

"What just happened?" I asked as Jake turned around and smiled at me. 

"I guess we're now a couple."
