We kissed at our secret place

We laughed at our silliness

We starred at each other's face

We were the definition of love and happiness

That's why it hurt

You were there

And then you weren't

It's like you vanished into thin air

I cried for you

I sung for you

I did what I could for you

To come back

You never did

I waited for days

Days turned to weeks

Months turned to years

I had to let go

I found another

He didn't know

I never forgot about you

I envisioned you when I looked at him

You weren't there

You would never be

Physically you were gone

Mentally you were here all night long

As I gave birth to my first

I was joyous

But it didn't quench my thirst
