Chapter two

I parked my car on the sidewalk, in front of the staring guy's house. I'm impressed the house was big, mansion rather. It was very loud. Drunk people were scattered on the front yard. Most were playing stupid games and those shots.

I'm feeling extra hot tonight. Wearing this fitted white dress that stops just below my butt, black strappy heels, leather jacket and blood-red lipstick. I feel exotic.

Gerleighn knocked thrice when we reached the front door. A guy looking like Chris Hemsworth opened it.

"Zareth" gerleighn acknowledge the guy named zereth, zeref, beref? Oh Whatever. His smile widened as he saw Leigh and he kissed her cheeks. Leigh turned red.

"Hello ladies." He said in a husky voice while looking at me. More like my chest. He looked at us up and down, very slowly, too slow for his sake. "Come on in "he opening the door widely.

"Thanks" I smiled.

"You're welcome, gorgeous" if he knew better, he'd should stop whatever he is trying before my fist connects with his million dollar face.

"My face is up here, dufus" I said, pointing to my face. But being a bastard, he only grinned up at me like a five year old in return. I shake my head.

"Hey babe, I'm getting us drinks, wait here. Zareth, take care of her" gerleighn said with a look.

"Of course, baby. I wouldn't have anybody near her." He said winking. Gerleighn giggled her way to the bar. He faced me when she was out of sight.

"Ooh, who would have known I'd get to sit beside the beautiful Alexis Bienne." How did he know my name?

"The alexis bienne?" I answered, crossing my arms. Trying to appear confident but failing miserably so because I'm sure I look like a mouse standing next to him. He laughed at me.

"I'm zareth, honored to finally meet you" he lend out his hand.

"Finally?" I squeaked. This guy is starting to creep me out.

"Yeah, you're the girl everybody is talking about." When I stared at him blankly, he sighed. "don't want to boost up your head but you're like the hottest chick on campus everybody's trying to hit on but of course since you're awesome, they don't get anywhere near you. Oh, by the way, you look gorgeous tonight." I blush as he bows as if I'm a queen. Then I go back at what he says and it comes to me, he is hitting on me.

"Hey, you can cut the crap out. Try touching me, You're dead." I point to his heavily muscled chest and warned cautiously. He chuckles and put his arm around my shoulder and when I tried to escape him, he didn't let go.

"You're so cute." He chuckled. "Again, people are right. You're feisty." He said while messing with my hair. "No wonder why guys aren't daring to ask you out. You're pretty scary but nice" he said smiling. I laughed out loud. He thinks I'm scary. That's funny. Very funny.

"I think we are going to be good friends, Z" I said nodding. "but you gotta stop checking Leigh out or you are gonna have to cover that little jewel of yours." I said gesturing down there.

"Don't yah worry, I don't have any boner for you or gerleighn." He said smugly. "I'm more of a free person plus I want my new friendship with you to last, cutes. Yeah, sure I'm, uuhh, I uhh, play with uhh girls but hey I could be nice. I know my limits all right" I smiled at the new nickname.

"I'm very glad to hear that, Z" I said impressed. "Do me a favor, block all the boys coming my way tonight. I'm not really up for some drunkards. The only reason I'm here tonight is to let Gerleighn out of my back. She's been bugging me for weeks to go to a party. If you successfully become my guard tonight, then we'll see if my opinion would change about yah" I pat his shoulder.
