Uncharted Territory

Part 14

*Justin POV*

It had only been a day since we all go here and were having so much fun.

At first it was a little hard for Selena to pick up snowboarding but now she's got the hang of it and she looks pretty hot doing it too.

"Let's go inside and get some hot chocolate," I smiled happily excited to get in the warm air and sit down after a long morning of snowboarding.

"One more time, please," Selena begged.

"Fine once," I sighed.

Together get got on the lift and rode all the way to the top getting ready to jump off when it was our turn.

I pulled my goggles down and got in the right position to jump, jumping when it got to us.

All of a sudden I hear Selena yell out my name as I look back to see her ankle in a twisted position and pain written all over her face.

I threw off my board and ran over to her pulling her gently away from the path of the lift.

"What hurts?" I asked in a panic.

"My ankle," she cried holding her ankle between her hands.

"Can you let me see?" I asked peeling her hands off her ankle to get a look at her swollen ankle.

"Is it bad?" She whimpered.

"Yeah we need to get you to a doctor. I'm sure they have one at the lodge. Let's get you down there. Put your arm around me," I said picking up both of our boards in one hands and holding her with my other.

Together we hobbled all the way down to the lodge where Ryan and Ashley were cuddled up by the fire.

"What happened?!" Ashley gasped as soon as she saw us, rushing over.

"She fell wrong on the lift and twisted her ankle. I want to have a doctor look at it," I explained helping her sit down and prop her leg up.

"I saw a doctor in the coffee shop not too long ago," Carly said standing up to go get him.

A few minutes later she came back with a young male who said he was a doctor and so kindly took a look at Selena's ankle.

"It's not too bad but you won't be able to be on it for at least a week," he said.

"Adam is going to kill us," I sighed cussing under my breath.

"Thank you so much," Selena smiled at him moving the ice to a different spot on her ankle.

"We should go back," Ashley said. "This was a bad idea."

"No! You guys go back out and ski. I be fine. I was cold anyways. I can watch y'all from in here," she smiled.

"I'll stay with her. You guys go. Have fun," I encouraged.

"Okay. Well be back soon to check on you," Ry gave in taking Ashley's hand and heading back out followed by Carly.

*Selena's POV*

"Does it hurt?" Justin asked, eyes burning into my abnormally large ankle.

"Only a little," I said wincing as I moved the ice around.

"Are you lying?" He asked again moving his eyes to meet mine.

"Only a little," I replied with a smirk.

"Do you want some hot chocolate?" He asked getting up.

"I'm okay," I said sighing as I leaned back against one of the seats in the lobby of the lodge containing only a male worker.

I closed my eyes feeling suddenly tired before I heard rustling next to me. "That was fast," I said not bothering to open my eyes.

"I'm Carter," someone said causing my eyes to pop open.

"Hi," I said breathless.

"I've seen you around and I was just wondering if maybe you want to go out with me. It may seem really sudden but I think you're really beautiful," he explained taking me by surprise.

"Carter, I-"

"She's engaged," Justin said from behind him causing him to jump in fright. "Bye now," Justin bit making him scurry away.

"Do I get the sense someone is a tad but jealous?" I asked jokingly.

"I am not jealous," he scuffed handing me a cup.

"I said I didn't want anything."

"Well I know you lied," he shrugged sitting next to me.

"Kind of like how I know you were lying about being jealous?" I asked smirking.

"The guy was a tool okay? I wasn't jealous. Plus there's a long line of people to get with you. He's at the end. He's the least of my problems," Justin said.

"And where are you positioned in this line?" I asked curiously.

"Right after Logan," he smiled vaguely.

"Wouldn't it be nice if we could just run away together. No one would ever find us and we could just spend the rest of our lives relaxing in the beach somewhere," I said lying my head on his lap.

"As nice as that sounds, it's impossible," he said stroking my hair softly.

I nodded feeling myself drift off before being pulled back to reality by Justin talking to me.

"Wanna go up to my room?" He asked.

I nodded the best I could before falling back into the peaceful world where I could just be free.
