Uncharted Territory

Part 16

*Justin's POV*

"Sel wake up, were back," I whispered shaking her lightly.

I sighed knowing it was no use. I got out of the car looking around to make sure there were no paparazzi before scooping her in my arms and carrying her into the hotel, leaving our bags to get tomorrow.

"You want to put her in my room?" Carly asked.

"It's fine. She can sleep in my bed. I have a lot of song ideas in my head. I don't think I'll get much sleep tonight," I explained.

I laid her on the bed as Carly put the crutches propped up on the nightstand.

"Thanks," I smiled hugging before showing her out.

"You're not really asleep are you?" I asked to Selena thinking she was faking it.

After I got no response, I figured I was pretty much alone and it was time to get this melody I had in my head, out.

I sat down in the designated living room and took a deep breath clearing out my mind before picking up the pencil sitting on top of my notepad.

"You can't fly unless you let yourself fall," I repeated over and over having the stuck in my head for the last few days.

"Well let me tell you a story

About a girl and a boy

He fell in love with his best friend

When she's around, he feels nothing but joy," I said tapping the pencil.

"I shouldn't be writing a song about this," I whispered disappointed in myself.

"What's gonna make you fall in love

I know you got your wall wrapped all the way around your heart

Don't have to be scared at all, oh my love

But you can't fly unless you let yourself fall," I said while right down that part to build on the on from earlier.

"Justin?" I heard Selena's voice whisper despite the fact that we were the only two in the hotel room.

"Right here baby," I said turning around to see her bundled up in the sheets.

"How long have we been back?" She asked curling up on my lap.

I looked over at the clock as my eyes widened. "4 hours," I said suddenly feeling very sleepy.

"Come to bed," she said reaching up  to touch my face softly.

I nodded and she got off me holding my hand as we walked to the bed together.

"I love you," I said wrapping my arms around her as she nuzzled her head in my chest.
