Uncharted Territory

Part 20

*Selena's POV*

"What's the question of the day," I asked as I played with my damp hair in the bathroom getting ready to go to set.

"Let's see," Justin said perched on the pure white, fluffy feather throw. "What would be your perfect date?"

"To be honest, anything where whoever I'm with," I hinted looking at him for a minute before looking back at myself in the mirror, "to me it wouldn't matter. As long as were together. We're being ourselves. We are having fun. That could be a simple night in with just a movie and cuddling or a fancy night on the town."

"You know what I love about you?" Justin said getting up from the comfortable bed to come wrap his arms around me and place his chin on my shoulder.

"What's that?" I asked looking at him through the mirror.

"You're simple. It doesn't take a million dollar date to impress you," he spoke no lifting his chin off my shoulder causing my body to vibrate slightly.

"Was Emily that way?" I asked curious.

"No, it wasn't all about the money but at the same time, she really did enjoy getting dressed up and going out," he said.

"You should call her. It's been a while," I said turning around to kiss him softly.

"I love you," he said with a smiled keeping the kiss going.

"Call her," I laughed on his lips pressing my hands on his chest softly.

"Okay call Logan too. Tonight I want no interruptions. Just you and me. My place. 6:30," he said placing a lingering kiss on my lips, before walking towards the front door. "See you at work!"

I laughed shaking my head before pulling out my phone, staring at it.

I sat on my head wondering where it went wrong. When did I become not excited to talk to Logan. Don't get me wrong I still get those bubbly feeling when he text me but it's no where near as big as it was a while back.

"Hey lo," I said in a cheery voice.

"Sel, I feel like we haven't talked in ages," he laughed. "I missed you."

"I did too," I said with a sighed laugh. "How's Percy Jackson?"

"Still in the preproduction stage, only one more week before we get to go out there and actually get to work," he explained.

"That will be fun when you get out there," I said getting back into those old feeling with Logan.

"Are you free tonight?" Logan asked.

"Um, no actually. We have this one scene at night and he wants to do it tonight because of the moonlight or something," I said feeling bad about lying to my fiancée.

"Okay how about tomorrow I make up for that missed Skype date okay?" He said.

"Sure. I better head down. I love you. Have a good day," I said hanging up after his goodbyes.

*Justin's POV*

"Ryan, what's the problem, man?" I asked as I stirred the noddles in the pan as the boiled on the stove.

"They finished early. Selena on her way back," he said making me drop my spoon and curse.

"Stall her. Tell her that I need something from my trail go in there and 'look' for 5 minutes then you can come back. I just need 5 minutes. Please Ry," I begged throwing the tablecloth on the table followed by some big candles.

"Why is it always me?" He huffed under his breath.

"Thank you! I owe you buddy. Next time you want to do something got Ashley, I got your back," I said smiling as I lit the candles before handing up and finishing off the spaghetti.

Just as I finished straining the noddles in the oversized metal sink there was a light knock on the door.

"One second!" I yelled, hurrying to plate everything before running over to the door to see Selena's beautiful face.

"Ugh!" She said walking in throwing her bag on the sofa. "Ryan made us look in your trailer for lord knows what for like 10 minutes. Today was just rough," she babbled throwing herself next to her bag.

"I'm sorry baby. How about we cuddle in bed after dinner?" I asked gently rubbing her shoulders.

"Sounds perfect. Did you already order in?"

"No. We're doing something a little different tonight. I know we can't go out and have a real date in public but  why not the next best thing," I said grabbing her hand and leading her over to the dinning area where the only light was come from dozens of light candles. The candles ranged from little tea candles to regular, standard candles.

"Justin, this is beautiful. You did this all yourself?" She asked turning around to look at me.

"All me. I just thought it was time for our first date. I wanted to make it special," I smiled pulling out the seat for her.

"Thank you," she smiled turning to kiss my cheek, which I thought was a little odd.

We both sat down and enjoyed an evening of conversation, laughs and bonding.

"You ready for bed darling?" I asked once I finished doing the dishes.

"Uh, yeah," she said with a small smile.

"You okay?" I asked her as I handed her one of tee shirts for her to wear to bed.

"Yeah," she said turning her act to me as she changed.

"Okay," I said trying not to push tonight as I wanted it to be a goodnight for us. "I love you."

"Love you too," she replied, relaxing in my arms slightly.
