Daymen couldn't believe what his best friend was doing.

"Let me get this strait, you over heard some guys in the tavern a few days away from here saying that the princess had been kidnapped and taken to earth?" He asked.

"You forgot the part about them erasing her memory and probably taking her powers," He sighed.

"What makes you think there's anything you can do? Your an Angel in this world, she is now a human in that world. No one has ever come back from the human world," Daymen insisted.

"No one's ever gone over with their memory and powers, you see if we don't give our powers to the moon stone before going over then we'll still have them and our memories making the job way easier." He pleaded.

"Amancio your talking about this like it's some heist, this is dangerous, and what makes you think that I'm going with you?" Daymen demanded.

"Because I can't do it without you," This was the first time since his mother had died that Daymen had seen Amancio cry. He wasn't full out crying but a tear had escaped him.

"Besides it's not like heists are any safer," He added quietly. "I don't know earth, you do! You've studied the portals and watched the humans live their lives. I have to get her back, I-I need her," He was shaking slightly now. Amancio was always strong, for a girl to have broken him it had to be real.

"You're in love with princess Amane?" Daymen asked slowly.

Amancio said nothing but he did look away and that was enough for Daymen.

"I'll do it," Daymen sighed.

"For real?" Amancio asked, his face lighting up.

"She's made you soft," Daymen said disappearing into his room to pack the essentials. "So what was it? Her fiery red hair? Her mysterious sea-foam green eyes? Her money?" Daymen asked.

"She was miserable and it showed," Amancio began.

"Of course, I forgot how attractive you find true misery," Daymen nodded to himself.

"It's not like that, well at first it was and then I went back to feed off of it even more but then I-I fell in love with her." Daymen heard a sincerity in his voice that was rarely there.

Part of him wanted his old friend back, but that was because he was terrified of being trapped in the human world, while the other part felt safer around him now. Daymen threw together a few things and went back out to the living room where Amancio was getting ready to go.

Daymen was standing at the edge of the kingdom's portal holding his friends arm. They weren't sure where they'd wind up but they'd heard that if you touched in some way you were more likely to stay together.

"Ready Daymen?" Amancio asked gently.

"No, but that's not really an option." Daymen sighed.

Amancio jumped from the ledge pulling Daymen with him.

Daymen looked around shocked. They were in the human world, and he still remembered everything. He looked at Amancio who was looking around the new world.

"The human world is so strange," Amancio began to himself.

"I think we're in Spain," Daymen said looking around.

"Spain? What's Spain?" Amancio asked.

"A kingdom I think," Daymen said looking around.

All the signs were in another language. 'Bienvenido a Madrid' was the first one that caught his eye.
