Summer pov "Hey I just wanted to say sorry for being so awkward today I just- I just had a rough day." Max said while not making eye contact. "No, don't worry about it everybody has an awkward conversation now and then." I replied as I turned around and started walking toward my sofa. I tripped on the sofa leg and began to fall but before I hit the ground Max caught me and hugged me. My head rested on his chest. Max leaned down and kissed me. Surprised, I still kissed back. He put his hands around my waist but he didn't know he touched one of my scars so it started to bleed. I pulled back from the kiss in pain. Right away he saw blood drip down my waist. He then picked me up bridal style and put me on the sofa. "Max it's fine" I tried to tell him but he wouldn't listen. He started to lift my sweater and shirt. I knew he would see all my other scars and cuts so I quickly slapped his hand away. " Max please ITS FINE" I yelled." He still didn't listen. "Shhh please just trust me." He said as he started to take off my sweater. I let him but you could see in his face that he was trying not to be shocked at the amounts of cuts and scars. He lifted my tank top slowly to reveal one of my biggest cuts, a 5-inch long cut starting at my upper waist."Who did this to you?" he asked as he started to wrap my waist with gauze. "Ummm I fell and cut myself."I say trying to lie. Nice try Summer I'm gonna ask again. "Who did this to you?" He said in a stern yet caring voice. "Fine, when my father had too much to drink.... I think you know the rest." I responded "I am so sorry, hey listen, I really like you and ......... Will you be my girlfriend? "Max we've only known each other for about a week and my last relationship did not go so well. You said as you lifted your sleeve. "I'm not like that you gotta give me a chance. I would never hurt you." He begged "Alright,I mean who would've thought I would've fallen for a sexy ass ginger." I joked. Max laughed as he stood up and began to help me to my bed. I looked at my clock and saw it was already 6:00. "Omg Max we should make our way to the offices." I said suprised. He nodded. " Let me go get dressed." I said.

Wow, you look beautiful, Max said. "Oh please these clothes are so old." You remarked "So I'm not allowed to call you pretty unless your wearing new clothes." He said as he carried me to his car. " By the way you know to try to keep this a secret right?" I asked "Yes, both relationship and cuts. My lips are sealed." He responded. "Good." I said as we pulled into the parking lot at the offices.
