Tambourine dances

The music changes pace only once or twice
Do the lyrics change the way you dance
Or do you dance to no music at all
Music is impacting us both
But what music do we both hear
Two different minds
Different sets of ears
The tambourine setting the tune of your heart
While I only notice what they say to me
Can't dance never could
Is it that I can't or that I won't
Singing louder than the speakers hoping to be heard for once
You'll dance no matter what
Sway your hips side to side as I fall silent in awe of your beauty
You don't need to be good at dancing to know how to make my heart do backflips at the sight of you
The music slows to a stop but you show no signs of following its pace
Sing of a sickness and she'll find the other side of death to celebrate
Sing of love and she'll make no changes
The dance routine of consistency
She no longer dances to the music
But to the heart that I gave her
