I didn't see Alfred again until third hour, and I can honestly say that I was a nervous wreck all through Home Economics seeing as I suck when it comes to crafting anything...except spears. I can make spears and other weapons, but I don't know how well that would go if I presented my teacher with a homemade trebuchet. "Hi Mr. Black! This is my finished product. Yes I know it was supposed to be a quilt, but look, if a student falls asleep in class, you can hit them with something from across the room! No extra effort required." Yeah, I can definitely see myself saying that at least once to him. However, I was late. I was late to second hour, and now I'm about three minutes late for third hour. Great first day, Terran. I bet you made a really good impression on your teachers.

I basically ran into third hour out of breath and gasped out "this school is so fucking big" before collapsing on the floor right by the door. Two people, one of them being Alfred, had to haul me to a seat where my head immediately fell on the desk and I tried to catch my breath. I was listening...I truly was, but only intermittently. When our teacher meant history, she meant pre-history too because there were a decent amount of young countries, cities, and such that sat in the classroom that didn't know much about those early days. You know...blah blah cavemen and dinosaurs. Well, actually no one except for me was around during those times. The things I could tell them about those Oviparous dinos and how they were annoying as hell. Don't even get me started on the Sauropods. Those things were so stupid and big that they should have been extinct long before the end of the Cretaceous Era.

"Alright, these are the units we'll be covering over the next few weeks. And as a special treat, we'll watch Jurassic Park on our last day." Ms Walters said with an extra-large smile on her face.

"Or we could just watch Barney instead. At least it'll be more educational." I muttered under my breath, and Alfred, who sat right next to me, turned and fixed me with a grin.

"You got a grudge against Jurassic Park or something?" He fixed his brilliant blue gaze on me, daring me to say otherwise; of which I did of course.

"Yeah I do have a problem with it. It's the most unrealistic show in its portrayal of dinosaurs, it misnamed a few dinos, and it got a lot of their personality traits completely inaccurate. 'Dude, we need to escape from the pack of Velociraptors!' No...say it with me; Dei-no-ny-chus. Velociraptors are tiny...Deinonychus is the big one." I sat up and met his gaze with one equally as intense. "It is the stupidest movie I have ever seen. It's worse than, well, every movie that's been dubbed 'worst movie ever', and that's saying a lot."

Alfred eyed me carefully like I was some alien from another world before opening his mouth and saying: "Those animatronics were pretty advanced for the day." My retaliation was an annoyed side-glance and a frown.

"You're such an idiot." I sighed and put my face in my hands as he grinned widely at my statement.

"Thanks, I've been told loads of times!" Alfred winked and gave me a playful punch in the shoulder, to which I gave a soft growl.

"Mr. Jones, Mr. Johnson, stop the flirting and pay attention." Ms Walters called our attention back to her presentation in such a way that made my cheeks flush in embarrassment. Alfred, on the other hand, laughed and draped an arm around my shoulders.

"But we still haven't picked the location of our date, yet!" He said sarcastically and continued to laugh as my face turned more and more red. His reply got a few chuckles from some of our other classmates and a few wolf whistles from some people in the front row.

"I'd appreciate if you would pay attention instead of chatting amongst yourselves." Ms Walters replied sharply and arched an eyebrow at Alfred.

"But I was paying attention!" Alfred retorted and removed his arm from around my shoulders. A serious look was entering his face and he sat up straighter.
