WHAT?!

I woke up, startled, by hearing shouts of terror. I haven't done anything yet. I thought to myself. The woman seemed fine yesterday and didn't mention anything about abuse she could be receiving.
"I haven't got it! I told you already! Just wait for a few hours! Please!" I heard the woman say. Haven't got what?
"You said it'd be here by now! I'm not giving you anymore chances!" I heard a males voice. Why would you go to a female for money? It's the same with vampires, the men have to work for the money, with females having jobs if they wanted one, and the family was in peace. I could hear crying coming from down the hall.
"So, you're just going to cry?! I want my money and I want it now!" I had enough, forgetting completely about the contacts and my eyes, and left the room to see the woman on her knees, possibly begging for mercy, and a man I've never seen before. I was staring right at the man, who was blocking the woman's sight so she couldn't see me.
"What's going on?" I asked. The woman noticed that I was there.
"Damian! Run before something happens to you!" I never had any intention of leaving.

I remained standing there and continued to stare at the man. He didn't like that I hadn't listened to her. He approached me, looming high above me.
"What is it punk? Can't you see I have business to take care of." he stated rather menacingly. I can see he doesn't care for one with red eyes.
"With a woman? I hardly doubt it's true business that you're after." I said back just the same as him.
"It has nothing to do with you. Just go back into your room like a good boy and stay there."
"You really think that's going to happen?" I had enough of people picking on me for days in a row as the incident with my own family was similar to this and the vampire not leaving when we stated things that were true. This really could've been all avoided if he left. This is why I never trusted the male species of humans. The absolute worst and most disgusting type of humans next to prostitutes. I never saw any reason to have them except to produce an offspring with a female.
"Get moving!" he shouted at me.
"Get moving yourself! One doesn't treat a woman in such a manner!"
"What are going to do? Act tough just by the colour of your eyes? I've dealt with people much tougher and worse than you!" I had enough of his talk and snapped.

The pale red of my eyes darkened into a deep crimson red as I had heard enough from him. I attacked in the only way I knew how. Fangs. I leaped onto the man.
"Disrespect gets you nowhere." I had my fangs out and was at this guys throat as a knock could be heard from the door. Great timing. I thought. The woman was in shock from seeing me attack all of a sudden and the man was frozen with sheer horror. The person knocked again as the woman slowly stood up to answer the door. I was shocked to see who it was.
 "Credri?" I asked in confusion.
"Master Damian. Thanks for calling me Eliza, we talked about his violent out bursts whilst driving here. He does this occasionally." he really attacked his 'occasionally'. I jumped off the man and he ran straight for the door.
"Have fun looking after THAT MONSTER!" he screeched as he fled the scene. People had the tendency to call me that, it was nothing new to hear.
"I am deeply sorry Eliza, Master Damian can leave if you don't want him anymore." Credri's most famous moment of losing his mind.
"Damian can stay. I don't mind having him around."
"What?! You're not okay with having some guy do whatever to you but you're fine with having me stay? You sure are messed up in the head." I whispered the last part of the sentence. Credri seemed just as shocked.
"Eliza, you knew all along about us didn't you?" Credri asked.
"I did. I'm sure you're shocked but I did know. The first time I saw Damian, when he was five or something years old, I noticed the vampiric crimson in his eyes. His mother explained the situation to me right then." Eliza, the woman, said.
"If you knew, why were you shocked that I attacked the man?" I asked only to receive a cold glare from Credri.
"I didn't know you protected humans." Eliza turned to face me. "I always thought vampires protected their own. I guess I was wrong."
"We usually do. However, if a man is in some sort of danger, us vampires don't do anything to help and with women we do because human women are weaker and have a harder time looking out for themselves. In the vampire world, no matter who's in danger, we only help those in our groups." I explained the situation to Eliza as I turned on my heel and left to get ready for the one place I didn't want to go. School.

School for a vampire is even harder than a human. You could never have any physical fights, due to the hunting nature of a vampire. There was no way to protect yourself from trouble. No physical eduation which was a total bummer. The rules set by our parents for school was much more strict and if you had friends outside of your group, you got done for as a vampire is supposed to be loyal to his or her group all the way. The groups generally went to different schools to avoid any major conflicts, however, that didn't stop them all together as last week one vampire from the school I used to attend had a head to head conflict with another vampire over who's group was better. Both kids got taken away and the vampire who started everything was punished incredibly harsh as he picked on a female vampire. I thought that was incredibly stupid as she covered him with eggs the day before. With every ounce of the disgust towards the place I was heading to, I still threw on my clothes and placed the coloured contacts in before I left the bathroom.

I felt disgusting as I didn't clean myself up but I couldn't really because of the time. I just hoped in my heart that it'd rain today.
"Damian. Do you even know where the school is?" I hadn't even realised I was walking out of the door before Eliza said something.
"It's a habit of mine. Sorry." I replied.
"Jump into my car, I'll drive you." I've never been driven to school before as Credri was doing something of a butler and my parents were both at the host conventions, planning for more of their parties they had once a week. It was always on a Thursday.
"If you tell me the location, I can walk. I don't mind walking."
"It's fine. I'll drive you." I never did quite understand why she was so persistent in driving me that day. I followed her into the car and we drove off.
