I didn't like the fact I had to follow a werewolf but, I grew to except it slowly. Galelacia was trying her best to avoid me at all costs. She hated what the principal had done as her punishment.
"Aren't you going to get your right eye checked out?" I asked.
"What does it have to do with you?" I heard an eerie chime run throughout the school. "Class is starting. Come on garlic boy."
 "I hate garlic."
"That's why I gave you that nickname. Let's go before the teacher notices we're missing. Mainly me."
"Can you at least tell me the names of these teachers and what class it is?"
"The class we have is with a teacher called Dequan, it's a class full of obscure children or people who don't fit into normal society. I'll tell you the rest whilst either in the class or when we're heading to their class." I was satisfied with that.

We walked into the classroom and, to my shock, the teacher wasn't there. What was she so worried about?
"Why were you in a rush to get here? You said something about being in trouble with the teacher if you were late, didn't you?" I asked out of sheer confusion.
"Did I? Dequan is always late to classes. I do get yelled at but I'm usually thirty minutes late." she said whilst walking over to two people in the class.
"New kid. Over here." I turned around to see a group of people calling me over to talk with them.

There was two boys and two girls. One of the boys had his arm thrown around a girl with pale ginger hair,  freckles and wore simple clothing. She looked comfortable enough, I think it's safe to assume that they are dating one another. The boy with his arm around the girl had blonde hair,  fairly tanned and wore nothing worth pointing out. The other girl had black hair, dark makeup, had piercings and wore gothic clothes. The other boy had black hair too, fair-skinned and looked like a rebel. They were an odd group.
"Why'd you call me over?" I asked, confused.
"You looked lost. Take a seat." the girl with black hair said as I pulled up a seat and sat with them.
"So, why are you here?" the boy with black hair asked.
"I'm not sure. It could have something to do with what I am." I replied.
 "What are you?"
"I don't know you people. Why would I tell?"
"Fine. I'm known at this school as Spike. Don't ask for my name. The girl with black hair is Raven, the other girl is Dawn and the blondie is Duncan. You?"
 "I'm Damian."
"What you here for?" Spike got up close to my face.
"Vampire. If you move out of my face, I won't have to suck. You smell delicious." I draw closer to his neck. He noticed what I was doing and pulled back.
"Not messing with you." I need to find out why they are in this classroom and the others too.

They know mine, it's only fair I know there's at least.
"You know why I'm here but, what about you?" I asked.
"I'm here because I blind others, Raven walks through walls, similar to a ghost would. She's not a ghost though. Dawn talks to animals and Duncan can turn into whatever he thinks of. Anyone else you want to know about?" Spike said.
"Is everyone like this at school?"
"Yeah. No one's normal. Werewolves, powers, vampires, you name it. Galelacia over there's a werewolf, you probably already knew,  the twins with her are more werewolves, the one with brown hair is Eliza and the one with brown with blonde at the tips is Alexa. Don't get them confused. Everyone else is either in other classes, late or simply not here." Raven said.
"Okay." I replied simply as Galelacia walked over to us. I thought she hated me and couldn't stand being anywhere near me?
"What is it wolfie? Spike said.
"If Dequan comes in, tell her that the twins and I are going out."

It was then a woman dressed in completely casual clothes walked in, blocking the door.
"No one's leaving. I'm already late enough as it is." the woman said, walking towards the desk at the front of the classroom.
"Come on Dequan! Eliza, Alexa and I were going to have some fun." Galelacia stated.
"The only fun wolves have is destroying the sports balls and messing the school up. We need to start the lesson."
"There's nothing fun with sitting in a classroom."
"Galelacia, do you want to see the principal?"
"Saw him earlier. He's sick of me."
"Not surprised. Anyways, sit down in your seats. I have something important to tell you." I don't think this teacher cares about new students. I'd rather keep to myself anyway.

She examined the room before Galelacia decided to shout out something that ruined the day for me.
"We have a new student!" I didn't want to be noticed.
"Right. Sorry I was late Damian. Galelacia's the who's late, not me. Anyways, why don't you introduce yourself so the class knows you a little better?" I have a few questions of my own, like; how does she know my name, why aren't the rest of the class going to introduce themselves and are there more people in this class? I decided to do as the teacher wanted and introduce myself, briefly.
"I'm Damian and that's about it." I didn't want to explain anything else and I feel like everyone doesn't need to know the rest of my story.
"Come on Garlic Boy. Explain further." I heard Galelacia call out.
"No one needs to know the rest. My name's enough." I replied back to her comment.
"This is how you do a real introduction." Galelacia stood up and walked to stand next to me. I was not looking forward to this. "I'll show you how it's done." she whispered so only I could hear her, her voice tickling my ear in  the process. "Damian is a vampire, don't know where he's from because something happened there that he doesn't want to repeat, I was told though. His family was under attack by a group he doesn't know too well. His brothers weren't present during the accident and he doesn't know if they got the message. His sister was pulled into the back room of his house and had something done to her. His parents were taken away in a type of cell. He assumes his parents are dead as he received something from his father the he never leaves behind or takes off. That's how you do an introduction." I stood there, unable to say anything as my entire story came out for the class to hear.

I guess you could say I was saved as I could feel my phone vibrate and rushed out the door to answer it, ignoring what people said.  It was the person I looked up to for a majority of my life, Felix. Why is he calling me?
"Hello?" I said into the phone.
"Thank God I got a hold of you. Where are you?" I heard Felix say over the phone.
"I'm in Whiteshadow. Where are you? What's going on?"
"Thank God you're not in our home town like I am. I can't explain it in a way that you'd understand. Where's everyone else?"
"Graenia suffered injuries and is seeking treatment, Jonah is still living on campus I think, Credri went back and our parents, I think, are dead."
"I should have come back sooner. Whereabouts in Whiteshadow are you at the moment?"
 "I'm at the school."
"Damian, there are a load of schools. What one?"
 "School of the Mysterious."
"I'll be there as fast as I can." Felix said before the familiar beeping of the phone call ending came ringing through my ear, as I walked back into the classroom, everyone stared at me.

I hate it when people stare at me. I wasn't in the mood for this lecture I could see coming from Dequan, so I sat in the back of the classroom. Dawn was sitting next to me.
"What happened that was so urgent for you to run out of the class like that?" Dawn asked me in a whisper so that no one could hear. Dawn had a soft voice, similar to that of a shy person looking for a friend and her whispering only made it harder for me to make out what she was saying.
"It was my brother. I'm meeting him out the front of school to discuss what happened at my home town." I replied in a whisper as well.
"Speaking of your home town, what town is it?"
"It's a run down town. Others even thought people didn't live there anymore. Its name's not really known to too many people in this day and age, I think it was around in the medieval times."
"A town with a forgotten name."
"Yeah essentially. It's a nice and calm town some of the time."

I think back to when we were a happy and some what of a normal family. The house being old and on the verge of breaking, no one dared to come near. Only a few in the town came round to our house. It wasn't like they were scared, it was mainly the fact of the rumour going around about it. Our late grandfather was cursed to die in two days after his birthday. He fell sick, like it was predicted in the curse and before he died, he muttered under his breath something that no one could make out very clearly. Later on, it was translated into something that resembled a threat to those who enter the Whitely household, Whitely being our last name, without anything from us saying it was okay for them to enter.

I heard my phone buzz as if a text came through, I checked to see who it was. Felix, he must be outside if he sent me a text. I read the text to realise my assumption was correct. I slid out of the classroom to meet with my brother, who was my father figure for the majority of my life.
