this is it.

this is the day riley will surprise calvin.

though, this is not what she had in mind. but she can't take it anymore when she saw him sitting all by himself.

creeping up to him slowly, she covered his eyes with her hands once she's behind him. calvin chuckled and said, "ingrid, what are you doing?"

"oh, you know her, too?" riley asked.

calvin froze in his spot once he heard the voice. holy fuck... could it be?

calvin turned around to see riley smiling at him in an awkward manner. riley felt embarrassed walking up to him. she shouldn't have done this. she shouldn't have travelled all the way to seattle to surprise him.

"what are you doing here?"

"vacation."

"riley, stop lying."

"i'm not," she lied again.

"hey, ba—riley?"

"ingrid."

as the two girls hugged, calvin sunk in his seat, pulling the bill of his cap to hide his red face.

"what are you doing here?"

"i came here to surprise calvin."

"oh, you guys know each other?"

"yeah... we're friends."

ingrid's smile made riley's heart beat faster than the disappearance of will byers. riley doesn't want to ruin their relationship. she doesn't want to ruin her newfound friendship with ingrid. in fact, she doesn't want to hurt ingrid.
