After a long nap Adrian's eyes opened to a dark room. Though her her vision was still blurry she could make out the shapes of furniture around her. In an attempt to rub her eyes Adrian noticed her arms were bound to the chair she was sitting in. "What the...?" Adrian whispered to herself. She wiggled her whole body trying to find give in her restraint but she was pulled too tight. She tried rocking herself but only managed to knock the chair over. The hard ground was cool against her skin and she shivered. "Wait...I was wearing a sweater when I came in here. Now im just in my tank top." Adrian thought. Click. Click. Suddenly the lights came on and illuminated the room. There was a large metal door in the center of the room. To the left was a table covered in girly dresses, ribbons, and other frilly things. To the right was a tall bookshelf littered in small boxes with labels on them. Nothing else decorated the room besides Adrian's chair, and a clock on the wall behind her. She noted the time as three forty-five. Bump. Adrian became alert and listened again for the noise. Bump. Bump. Bump. The noise got louder, then stopped. Adrian's breath was quick and ragged. "Knock, knock." A voice said from the other side of the door. "You awake yet? I hope I didn't give you too much." Adrian stayed quiet. The door clicked and creaked open. Luke walked into the room. "Awe. How did you end up on the floor? It must be cold down there." Luke said in a gentle tone. Adrian nodded. He picked up the chair as he supported her weight against his arm. "There we go! That's better. Now let me untie you." Luke began to untie the fabric holding her body in. Adrian spoke in a quiet voice. "Um...I won't run. So you can trust me."
"Oh, darlin'. Who needs trust when you've got a knife?" Luke quickly clicked open a small pocket knife and cut the ribbon. Adrian yelped. "Haha, it's okay. Im just playing." He put the knife in his pocket, pulled the fabric away from Adrian's body, and tossed it on the floor. "Thanks." Adrian said a little more firmly. "No problem. I have no intention of seriously hurting you, so don't feel so paranoid."
Adrian took in a deep breath before asking "Why am I here? What happened to my family? You put something in my drink, didn't you?"
"Well, yes. I did do that. But rest assured in knowing that your family is okay. My friend led them back to town safely. But unfortunately for you, he doesn't even know you exist."
"What! Why? Why did they leave me here? I don't even know you!"
"That's true, but soon we will be very close." Luke blew a kiss to Adrian and began to pace tbe room. "You see, young one, I have a problem. He pauses behind her. "Now I've been able to steer away from this issue when I removed myself from society. It took me many years to finally cure myself, or so I had thought. But then," he chuckles "I saw a pretty young girl in the woods, and that sparked an old fire in me. " The man places his hands on Adrian's shoulders. "Now, do you want to know my problem is? Huh?" He was answered with silence. He kicked the chair she was sitting in and she let out a scream. "I asked you a question!" Adrian gulped hard and answered. "Y-yes." Again he chuckled. He leaned in close to Adrian, and whispered into her ear. " I have an insatiable hunger for ," he took a deep breath, inhaling her scent, and exhaliling loudly "pretty girls." He tiptoed his fingers down her arm. "Just. Like. You." Luke stood up and paced the room again.
"Lucky for you though, I've become more of a gentle soul. I really used to be into torture." He gave a quick glance to Adrian and smiled. She whimpered. "But I feel being with nature has made me a better person. " Luke walked over to the tabled adorned with pretty things and grabbed a baby pink ribbon, walked to the back Adrian, and began to tie it around her neck. For a short moment he pulled the ribbon taught, and Adrian choked. He loosened the ribbon and tied it correctly. Adrian began to sob. He moved around the chair and squatted in front of her. "Oh." He gave a mock sad face. "I'm sorry. I was just playing." He caressed her face and gave a genuine smile. "Will you ever forgive me?" Adrian looked to the floor and mumbled "yes." "Great!" At last he quickly stood up and headed for the door. He looked back at the young girl's face, covered in tears, and again chuckled. "Ill be back shortly. Don't go anywhere. " and with a quick wink he was gone.
