De'Lancey's POV

Cold. Cold is what I feel right now, as I slowly rise from heavily snow covered ground. I feel weak and I begin to shake from the cold. As I slowly stand and look around I begin to think frantic thoughts. Where am I? Where's mom? I look down to notice my sweatpants and skimpy sweater. No shoes. I close my eyes and try to remember previous events, but nothing comes to mind. I try to open my eyes, but they feel glued shut.

I'm going to die. I'm going to die if I don't get out of this cold soon. I open my eyes and cup my hands over my mouth. Mom! Mother where are you! I'm freezing, I need you now. I telepathically speak to my mother. No reply. I look around at my surroundings, but all I see is an endless amount of snow. At this point my teeth begin to chatter furiously and feel as if they are frozen and could break any second.

I begin to walk forward hoping that if I did I would find someone to help me but my bones protest. The cold is setting in. I probably already have hypothermia.

This is it. I'm going to die. Never out of all of my near death experiences did I think I was going to freeze to death. I'm about to give up all hope as I settle back into the snow when I hear a faint voice.

De'Lancey, get up.

Mother? Mom is that you?

I'm afraid not, but you must rise. For you are in grave danger.

Grave danger? If you mean freezing to death then yes.

No time for explanation, she is very near.

Wait what? Who are you? Where's my mother? Who is near?

There will be time for explanation later, but right now you must leave.

I do as told and rise from the ground.

Now what?

Look around. What do you see?

I look around, to see a small distant light. As if the voice inside my head could see through my eyes, it says....

Hurry and go to it. Sprint, she is here.

No need to tell me twice. I take off towards the direction of the light as I here footsteps close behind me. I turn to see, but the voice interrupts me.

Don't look back. It will only slow you down.

So I proceed forward with my tired, cold aching bones. Whatever is behind my is moving fast and will catch up to me soon. My vision becomes blurred from the icy cold wind, and suddenly my body becomes exhausted. My body, so cold....so tired.....

"You're almost there, just a little farther." The voice urges on.

I looked up, but all I could see was the little light that looked so far away. At that moment I had tripped over myself and collapsed on the ground with a soft thud. I was through. My mind kept telling me to get up and run, but my body said different. I could no longer hear the voice. Maybe it had given up on me too. I closed my eyes ready to embrace death. I mean shouldn't I be used to this already?

Next to me I hear a faint whisper in the air, almost as if what ever was there was floating. And then the strangest thing happens. I begin to feel myself rise from the ground. But no one was touching me. When I opened my eyes I was not prepared to see what I saw.

Standing in front of me was a woman in a long black dress that looked as if it had been put into a blender. She wore a tall crown above her head, that had a red amulet in the center. Her hair fell across her shoulder in jet black curls. Her lips red and full. Her skin fair and youthful. All I could see was beauty, pure, bountiful, gineric beauty.
