Author's Note: I am back! I have a lot going on in my professional life so I barely had time to write. But this idea is going around in my head for so many months now. Do post comments and tell me if you like it. Also, I'll try to write Kush's story as soon as possible. For those who don't know Kush, please read my other story - Love Could Be That Strong.

PS: This is unedited.

A nervous Madhu stood at the entrance of the city's one of most famous hospitals. She took a deep breath and urged herself to move forward. She found a young girl sitting behind the reception counter hurriedly typing on a computer screen and taking phone calls. As Madhu approached her, she took a notice of that and greeted her with a 'Hello'. It was pretty clear that the receptionist was tired from all day's work but she still tried to muster a fake smile and gave Madhu the details she had asked for.

Madhu again took a deep breath and glanced at the nameplate for one last time. 'OBGYN Dr. Rishab Kundra' it read. Madhu always had this irrational fear of hospitals and the typical atmosphere of hospitals drove her crazy. But today was an emergency and it called for some desperate measures. She had to know if everything was okay with the baby and if the pregnancy can be continued smoothly. So she pushed open the door and stepped inside.

Wow! This was the only thought running through Madhu's head when she found a handsome doctor scribbling on his notepad. He was bent upon his table and his black hairs were shadowing his forehead. The way he had rolled the sleeves of his charcoal gray shirt made her swoon. He surely was eye candy and Madhu wiped her face to ensure that she was not drooling. But then the reality jolted her and she decided to focus on the matter at the hand and faked coughing to bring grab his attention. And as soon as he raised his head and stared at her with his dark almost black eyes, Madhu mentally cursed God for making such a fine specimen. 'I am sorry I didn't notice you. Please have a seat, he said in a voice that made Madhu sigh. It seems like God made him with all the features straight from her wishlist. 'Oh you don't have to be sorry, I can stand here and ogle at you for hours' she thought but then chided herself for looking like a creep.

"I am here for a pregnancy scan", she declared and then made herself comfortable on the chair opposite him.

'Of course, she is here for a pregnancy scan! What were you even thinking Rishab!', Rishab Kundra mentally rebuked himself. Well, it was a surprise for him too when he saw such a beautiful-looking girl standing at his office. 'Not a girl, but a married woman! And now a pregnant married woman!' he reminded himself. What surprised Rishab was that he was never been this much smitten by anyone at first glance. His grandmother's stupid theory of soulmates was running all over his mind. Pushing aside all the stupid thoughts he got down to the business. He was an Obstetrician-Gynecologist and that too a renowned one. So it was his duty to serve his patients in the best possible way. But then he realized that the lady across him kept looking at the door and then at her watch.

"Are you waiting for someone Ma'am?" he inquired when he saw her fidgeting. Madhu replied with a mere nod and then asked him for a glass of water. Rishab immediately got up and poured her a glass of water which she gulped down within seconds. 'Maybe she is nervous and even her husband is not here he thought. He offered her another glass of water which she also gulped down in seconds. Although it was a good thing because she had to be hydrated enough for the scans to be conducted properly. "He'll be here soon Ma'am" he replied as he tried to ease her nerves. 'How does he know I am waiting for him?' she wondered.

Rishab then proceeded to ask her name and record her general details. Madhu was puzzled by the sudden interrogation but anyway went ahead with it. Suddenly she received a call from Siddharth and she jumped to her feet screaming 'where are you!?' into the phone. Rishab winced at her loud tone and felt pity for the poor guy who was on the receiving end of her wrath. In his career as a doctor, it was common for him to see poor husbands or boyfriends being grilled by their better halves. Pregnancy made women crazy and right now Madhu was a perfect example of this. He slowly got up from his chair and walked over to the side where Madhu was still cursing the person for being late while violently falling her other hand around.
