I heaved myself off of the concrete bench, then started walking with her.
"So, how was school?" she smiled.
I didn't want to respond, because I knew I would have to lie to her. She would worry if I told her it was lonely. I had no clue what to say at the moment. All I could do was look at the ground and hope that she would leave this conversation in silence.
She tilted her head,"are you just not going to answer me, Kitomi?"
I sighed, "sorry, I was spacing out." I paused,"school was as boring as they come," I smiled.
