I pulled my hair in a ponytail, as I applied a small amount of makeup, only the necessary.
I heard the doorbell ring, as my dad invited Will inside. I knew I didn't have to rush downstairs, they would probably talk for a while about some sports, or how Linda and John, ( Will's parents) are doing.
I slipped into a cute white summery dress, as I took my sandals, as I turned around I bumped into someone.
"Boo." Will teased me, as I still had my head buried in his chest, since Tyler had been ignoring me all day, I felt realy sad, so I pulled him into a hug.
He smellt a mix of citrusy and woodsy smell, absolutly delicious, his hair was still damp from washing it.
Will could probably read my emotion, he knew I was sad about Tyler. "Jess, the guy's an idiot, he's not worth it." He whispered softly, as I pulled out.
"You're probably right.. Anyway let's go, we don't want Brooke to kill us for being late." I told him, coming down the stairs.
"Haha, like that one time, that was absolutly hilarious." He laughed.
I came down the stairs, noticing my dad and Max, my brother, standing there.
"Are you two finally together?" My 8 year old brother teased.
"Max, shut up. You know we'll never be." I told him, as I ruffled his hair, turning to Will.
And at that very moment, I swear I saw a hurt expression in his eyes, but he quickly shaked it off.
"Bye Andrew, I promise I'll bring her back not too late. If not she's at my house?" Will told my dad.
"Sure, don't get too drunk." My dad said, going into the living room, as I pecked his cheek.
"Bye!" I called, closing the door as Will opened his car door, starting the engine.
"So, what you going to do about that idiot you call your boyfriend?" Will teased.
"I don't know, I'll see how he is tonight. He hasn't even asked me to the summer dance yet." I told him, looking into his deep blue eyes, that sometimes, for some odd reason gave me butterflies, but never would I admit that. Friends, only friends.
Will mumbled something under his breath, quiet enough so I couldn't hear.
"What?" I asked him curiously.
He seemed to think, and then finally told me. "I said, the guy's stupid, he doesn't deserve you." Which made me smile.
Will's P.O.V (point of view)
"I would." I mumbled, so Jess couldn't hear. I would take her to the summer dance, but I've always promised that we were friends, only friends
I wish I could change that, but wouldn't it be weird, going out with your best friend?
I've already got asked to go to the dance by nearly half the cheerleaders, and I'd had to accept one of the offers, before Jess would start to get suspicious, but I still had time to grow some guts, the dance was in little less than a month, I still had some chances with Jess.. right?
But all my chances got crushed when she pouted and told me with her sweet voice:
"I really want him to ask me though."
I gulped down, looking at her chocolate brown eyes. "He will, don't worry. No one resists Jess." I teased, which made her smile again.
"Thank you for being the best friend ever." She said, smiling brightly.
