Will's POV

I looked at Jess, who was on my right, peacefully daydreaming. Her chocolate brown eyes looked distant, her long eyelashes batting once in a while. She's so effortlessly beautiful.

But that's how you think of your best friend.. right?

Who am I fooling? Of course I like her. In fact, I have since the very first day I saw her. I just wish I could admit it to her, but she doesn't like me back. It's probably just a crush, right? It will go, the feelings will just fade with time.. I hope.

My Italian teacher started talking, causing me to listen. From what I understood we were going to Italy next week. I remember going to Rome and Venice with Jess once, we had a lot of fun stuffing our faces with pizza.

"You will be in the same room as the person next to you." She called, as some happy yells echoed through the room. I looked around the class, everyone was sitting next to someone their gender.. except me and Jess.

"Mr.Clark and Mrs White, no funny buisness please." The teacher called as the whole class turned towards us two, I could hear some jocks whistling, and suddenly Jess snapped out of her daydream.

"What?" She asked, her eyes widening as she realised still half the class were looking at us.

"We're going to Rome together, oh and we're sharing a room." I smiled, as her eyes widened in excitement, she looked like a 5 year old on christmas day.

"Seriously?" She asked.

"Yep, seriously."

"Awesome." She grinned widely, probably remembering the last time we went to Italy, as she suddenly burst out laughing.

She wiped away her tears of laughter before explaining. "You remember when we went to  Venice and you fell in the water? You were so scared." She exploded in laughter.

Of course I remembered, I was more than scared that day. We had just bought some ancient Roman coins at a local market, one of them fell in the water and I tried to grab it, and well.. I  fell in.

I laughed with her until the teacher gave us a dirty look, giving us a just-shut-up-before-i-yell-at-you look.

"Moody cow." I heard Jess mutter, I gave her a sly smile and she just responded with a wicked grin.

The bell rang right at this moment, and I watched as the students pilled out of the class.

"I've got to repeat my Geography test with Chloe, i'll meet you in the lunchroom later?" She smiled.

"Yeh sure." I smiled back. "Good luck bro."

"Bro?" She chuckled as we got out the class.

"Yeh, bro." I joked again, as amusement twinkled in her chocolate brown eyes.

"Okay then, bro." She fist bumped me. See, this is why she was my best friend, do you really know other girls that like to be called bro and fist bump boys? She was just special.

"You special child." I laughed, as she walked towards Mrs.Globe's classroom. I know what you're thinking.. a geography teacher called Mrs Globe? How ironic.

I loved seeing Jess so happy, it made me think like the past was gone, which was great. Jess had been through so many things..

I walked towards my locker, but before I could continue something, or more like someone caught my eye. Tyler.

I walked up to him, and as soon as he saw me he looked scared.

"Man, let's put the past behind us?" He offered, but his cocky grin was still on.
