Geo's POV

Loren and I have been best friends forever now. Her parents don't really like me because I'm 17, and Loren is 14. So, I never really go over to Loren's house because that probably wouldn't be a good idea. They sort of, HATE me.

I really, really, really like Loren. Some may even call it love.

I always get this strange feeling around her. One that I have never felt before. She takes my breath away. I feel like I just always want to be with her. I love being around her.

I think I'm going to ask her out. I'll do it tomorrow at our football game. She's a cheerleader and I'm the quarterback. She looks so cute in her outfit. Ok, off topic... I'll plan it out. I hope she says yes. Does she like me? Nah... Wait maybe..! Idk

After the game...

Loren's POV

My bestie Emma tells me that we have to leave to go to the locker rooms. That it's a fashion emergency! So I go with her. Apparently, she just forgot her to put on her chapstick. Like really Emma?

We walk back to see everyone huddled up in to a group. They all hold up a big sign that says.. "Will you go out with me?"

It was so cute... I automatically assumed it was Emma. Every boy likes her. She's just likeable ya know?

Then I see Geo holding a bouquet of flowers and my heart sank. I liked him, was he going to ask my best friend out?

Then I looked at Emma. She was smiling wide at me. She's probably going to say yes...She always asks me for my opinion on things. I couldn't say that I liked them together. I loved Geo and I couldn't.

Tears started filling my eyes. I couldn't cry next to Emma in front of all of the school, so I walked away. I couldn't handle it. I start running. I ran to the locker rooms and locked the door. I sobbed because I really thought Geo and I had a thing... But I guess not...

Geo's POV

She ran off and it hurt. She rejected me, didn't she.

When she ran, she looked hurt. I need to talk to her, I need to.

She ran to the locker rooms and I ran after her.
The door was locked, and I heard sobs inside. I knocked on the door, and I heared a muffled "go away".

"Please, Loren, what did I do wrong? How did I hurt you?" "Just leave me alone!"

"Loren I'm not leaving." We have to talk about what happened." "Uggghhh Finneee" She opened the door.

She was shaking and crying, and I had this feeling that it was all my fault. I hugged her tight. She cried onto my shoulder, "Why did you run off like that? This was an important day." "For you and Emma, not me."

"Loren what are you talking about?"
"You asked Emma out." She said crying more than ever. She got up and walked away crying.

She must've thought I asked out Emma and not her. Oh no, I ruined everything! Emma took her to the locker rooms to buy us some time to set up. I have to fix this. I have to fix everything.

"Loren wait!" She kept walking.

Loren's POV

I was hurt. I didn't want to see him or anything. I stopped walking and turned around.

"Look, I loved you for such a long time. I thought you felt the same way. But I was wrong. Just like with all my relationships. I fall in love with someone, but they don't feel the same way. This time, it was different. I've never loved someone like I love you. But I don't want to talk or even be friends anymore. It hurts me to see you. So please stop chasing me around. I love you, but you don't love me back. So please just leav- I was cut off by him kissing me.

"Please Geo don't. Emma is my best friend. I don't want to see her hurt.

He cupped my cheeks with his hands and looking me in the eyes. "I wasn't going to ask out Emma, it was for you." "Me?" "Yes, of course you. I love you." "My eyes started to water. "I love you too Geo" I pulled him in for a hug. "So, my beautiful best friend Loren, would you do me the honors of being my beautiful girlfriend and best friend?" "Yes, and I'm not beautiful, I'm a potato." "Yes, but your my potato" We leaned in for a kiss. I've never been this happy, ever.
