The day of K-con came and I was not as excited about it as I was a few months ago. Yes, I would be able to see all my favorite artists perform, but it also meant I'd have to hi-touch with Astro.

Sanha and I had not been on speaking terms for the past few months, and at first I was pissed since he was always so distant whenever I tried to talk to him. Gradually, I just started to give up and not even bother. And that's when he started to reply.

He'd send messages every day at exactly 8am, but me, being heartbroken and the petty person I am, left him on read. For all the times he's ignored me.

Seeing as Sanha probably has forgotten what I  looked like, I could probably pass as just another fan, and that's what I planned on doing.

My mom dropped me off extra early so I could venture out and explore the outdoor stands even though with my limited pocket money, could only buy lunch. At least I got to try what all that kimchi craze is about. I also got to meet some Korean YouTube vloggers and it was pretty epic.

The concert portion was amazing. I screamed my head off for Monsta X and Oh My Girl, but once Astro stepped on stage I didn't know what to do. Should I cheer? Should I just watch?

I decided to just cheer because the rest of the members deserved my cheering. The performance turned out great, and many people around me started talking about how they'd look them up later.

Then it was time for the hi-touches. The first on the list was Astro, and my nerves were so high I probably was going to pass out. I wasn't one of the first people but wasn't one of the last either.

I had a clear view of them, and they all looked so happy to be in America meeting international fans. As I got closer, I could hear some of them try and speak in English but could barely get anything through since the line was going so quick.

Before I knew it, I was up next. Sanha was in the middle, and my stomach churned. But nonetheless, I stepped onto the platform to greet JinJin with a smile.

As I went down the line, I repeatedly told the members that I loved them and they all happily returned it. It made me smile even though I knew they didn't truly mean it.

When I got to Sanha, I didn't say anything that I didn't to the others. "I love you," I said, slapping my hands on his. He smiled and was about to say it back when there was a small flicker in his eyes, as if he recognized me.

It seemed like he was going to say something else but I was already off to the next person, who was Rocky.

"I love your eyebrows," I told him, and he looked confused for a second until I motioned up to his thick eyebrows. He smiled and said he liked mine too, making me laugh.

When I finished, I was quickly ushered off the stage. I dared to look back and found Sanha glancing over the heads of fans, looking for something. Our eyes locked for a few seconds before I quickly ripped them away and scurried out of the room.

Not today Satan.

The first day of K-con was over, and luckily, there was no sign of Sanha after the hi-touch. I wasn't surprised though since he's famous and has more important things to do than chase after me. But deep down I kind of wanted him to confront me.

I was waiting for my mom to pick me up at a near by In-N-Out. There was so much traffic that I expected my mom to get here extremely late, so I might as well buy myself something to eat.

As I was finishing paying, the entrance bell rang a few times. Thinking nothing of it, I took my cup and headed to the soda machine. And that's when I heard the broken English, and I almost smashed my head into the tea dispenser.

"Shiks cheejeu buguh."

I didn't dare look back and just scurried off in attempt to find a good, hidden seat. Out of all places, they had to come to this exact fast food place. Well I mean In-N-Out is the most Californian thing in existence, so no wonder they wanted to see what the hype is about.

I tried to eat my burger in a way that covered my face as the noisy teens approached. The place was pretty empty, so when they decided to sit in the table right next to mine, I had to fight the urge to scream at them to go away.

I lowered myself in my seat and tried focusing my gaze out the window, trying not to be spotted.

How funny. Most fans would love to be in my position, sitting near their "oppars" and I'm over here trying to find a way to hang myself without drawing attention to myself.

I finished my burger and crumbled up the wrapper. I was getting out of my seat when Rocky caught a glimpse of me and seemed to recognize me from earlier.

"I love your eyebrows!" He called out, pointing at me with a smile on his face. He waved happily at me, and all I could muster was a small, awkward smile before scurrying to the trash can.

I was about to turn to leave the place when I felt a tap on my shoulder. "Erm..Ashley?"

I squeezed my eyes shut, knowing exactly who it was. But instead of running out, away from him, I took a deep breath and turned to face him.

"Oh, hey. Long time no talk," I said in a sarcastic tone.

"How are you?" He asked, completely ignoring my tone of voice.

"I'm fine," I flashed him a fake smile. "And I really need to go, my mom is waiting for me if you don't mind-"

I turned to leave once again, but he ran in front of the front doors and blocked my only exit. "Why are you ignoring me?"

"I wouldn't call it ignoring. More like, ridding of negativity in my life. Now can you please-" I motioned for him to move.

He seemed frozen in place, breathing heavily. It didn't seem like he was going to move anytime soon. I placed a hand on my hip and glared at him.

He smiled sheepishly before taking in a deep breath as if to calm himself before what he was going to say.

"I like you," he said.

"Well thanks. I like me too. Now I really need to go-"

"No like girlfriend-boyfriend like you," he stopped me again.

I sighed. He wasn't going to let me leave was he? I just gave up and stood there, waiting for an explanation.

We stood there in silence for what seemed like an eternity, just staring at each other. "So...?"

"So what?"

"Do you like me too?" He asked in more of a whisper, making me have to lean in to be able to hear him.

"You expect me to fall for this? You think you can talk to me for months on end then stop talking to me all together? Then have the guts to ask if I like you back?" I scoffed. "Nice try, buddy."

This time he didn't seem to refuse my exit, so I walked around him and out the door, leaving him heartbroken in the doorway.
