"Can you stop. I know I'm great, but you need to stop being so clingy," I said as I was being embraced in a bone crushing hug from the side.

Sanha and I had finally met up, and as soon as he saw me, he ran up to me and clung to my side. It was cute at first but after five full consecutive minutes of him grasping me like a baby koala as we walked towards the beach, it started to get kind of old. And with his height, he had to either bend down or walk in a strange manner where his legs were spread out wide.

"I have to hug very much, so in Korea I can still feel," he said into my shoulder.

"You're being cringy again."

"I'm sorry but I keep hugging."

I sighed and continued to walk as if having a 6+ foot child with his arms around me was a normal, everyday thing.

Eventually we made it to a not-so-popular beach where instead of sand, rocks littered the ground. I set down my bag which contained the kites we'd be flying later.

"You're going to have to let go if you want to look at rocks," I said.

And for a brief second, Sanha finally unwrapped his arms from me and started to bend down to pick up stones.

"Find one that reminds you of me. And I'll find one that reminds me of you, okay?"

"How? Remind?"

He clearly didn't understand how rocks could remind someone of a person, but I tried to explain to him to just look at the rocks and when he saw the right one, he'd know.

"Okay," was all he said before he started to dig through loose rocks.

I got on my knees and started to pick out rocks with different shapes. Most were round or an oval shape, but then one caught my eye. It was a dark brown color and it looked almost identical to a poop emoji. What a coincidence.

"Hey look, it's you," I said, bringing up the rock for Sanha to see.

He glanced up from his rock searching and made a face. "I'm not poop."

I walked over to him and placed the rock on his shoulder. "I literally see no difference. It's like you're twins."

"Hmph," he breathed. "If I'm poop, you are..." he trailed off, frantically searching for a rock on the ground. Once he found it, he quickly grabbed it and showed it to me. "Butt"

I snorted. The rock literally looked like a pair of butt cheeks, like that one kakaotalk peach head emoji character. What was up with the beach and its rocks?

"Sounds about right," I laughed. "You're a piece of poop and I'm a butthole."

"We are a teamwork!"

I made a face. "No. Just stop. Let's just play with the kites now," I said and headed off towards our bags before he could say any more stupid stuff.

He ran over to me, rock in hand.  "I take this rock as a piece of you. Always with me," he said, cradling it into his chest as if it was a prized possession.

"Have fun carrying a butt rock and explaining to everyone why you do," I laughed.

"I say it's what my girlfriend looks like," he teased.

"Nah you can't say that because of your contract," I winked at him cheekily, knowing I won.

"Now for the kites—"

"Whaaa dragon!" He exclaimed once I pulled out a kite in the shape of a dragon. He grabbed at it like a toddler and quickly started running with it down the beach. The kite dragged behind him, slowly gaining momentum and took flight.

He looked extremely excited over a piece of crap kite I bought at the dollar store. I ran after him, joining him with my butterfly kite.

We both watched as out kites bobbed in the clouds, seemingly dancing in the wind. Sanha scotched closer to me and bumped me with his shoulder. I gave him a side eye, and he just giggled, bumping my shoulder again.

"Do you wanna go?" I threatened.

"No. Let's stay longer," he pleaded.

I mentally face palmed, but I couldn't blame him. His English wasn't that advanced for him to catch the slang.

He bumped me again playfully, and that's when I felt a tug on the kite string. Apparently so did he, and we both looked up at our kites that were now plunging downwards. They had gotten too close together and the strings has tangled. We watched as our pretty kites splashed into the ocean.

I looked over at Sanha who gave me a sheepish smile. "Oops?"

"You owe me 2 dollars plus tax," I pointed a finger at him.

He nodded and took out a wallet from his pocket, taking out two foreign-looking bills and handing them to me.

"Korean won," he said.

"I can't do anything with this though."

"If you ever go to Korea you can!" He said happily.

"Ah yes, because I can buy so much with 2 dollars. Maybe ten chips in a bag full of air," I said sarcastically.

"It's okay. I will buy many things when you go to Korea," he smiled, wrapping an arm over my shoulder.

"You my sugar daddy now?"

"What is that?"

"I do something for you and you buy me things," i said, giving him a child-friendly definition.

"Yes. You give me happiness and I buy you stuffs."

"Dang. Never knew you were the sugar daddy type, Sanha," I teased.

He looked as confused as a puppy, and I couldn't help but feel guilty.

"You're not a sugar daddy. Sugar daddies are bad."

"Why is bad? I aperi—appri? priciahte?"

"Appreciate?"

"Yes yes! I appreciate you, so I give gifts to make happy!" He smiled.

"Fine fine. You can be a candy boy. Because you're not a daddy," I laughed.

"Yes. I'm a candy boy. I will buy you many sweets! I like choco-pie," he said, then continued to ramble on, listing all his favorite candies as we made our way back up shore.

All I could do was smile. Smile at how cute this boy was and how lucky I was to have met him in the first place.
