Right as Blix’s hand touches the crystal ball the pillars instantly light up with a resplendent silver and gold, almost illuminating the stage, and on the screen above the crystal ball a line of text appears, “Ablixeron Flareheart – Mage of Chaotic Origin”. As soon as these words appear, Lyeecia’s eyes widen, and a light flashes through them, “I found you.” She mumbles softly, as a gentle look appears on her face for a second.

Lysedra looks at the screen in shock, she had never heard of a Mage of Chaotic Origin before. And as she’s about to say something to Lyeecia next to her, the second line of text appears, “Energy affinity, Chaos – Excellent, Origin – Excellent”. Causing Lysedra to nearly fall over from shock. This kind of affinity had never been seen before.

Ren, standing in the audience, gives Blix a thumbs up, completely unaware of what the Class means. He was just happy that his friend got what seemed like a really good class. Meanwhile, on the stage, Lyeecia walks up to Blix, handing him a ring, “This is called a storage ring, it has a space of ten by ten meters inside, all you need to do is insert a bit of your consciousness into it, and you can store or remove items from inside it.” She says, causing Blix to be surprised.

Walking off before Blix can ask her why she gave it to him, Lyeecia walks back to a stunned Lysedra, who can’t even find the words to ask what is going on. As Blix walk down from the stage, the next person goes up and it continues normally.

“Dude, you scored big time! Do you have any idea how rare storage item are?!” Ren asks excitedly and he runs over to Blix. Blix just looks at the ring in his hand, still in a daze. When Ren see’s this, he knocks Blix on the forehead with his knuckles. “C’mon dude, snap out of it.” He says with a grin, causing Blix to finally wake from his daze, “Huh? Yeah sure.” He says, looking up at Ren, still kind of dazed.

Seeing this, Ren starts laughing, “Blix, I can tell you this now, she is way out your league.” He says, point to Lyeecia with his thumb. “What?! I have no idea what you’re talking about!” Blix says, his face going bright red as he turns to face one of the food stalls of in the distance.

Ren laughs as he pats Blix on the shoulder, “I’m just messing with you, I know you like Val.” Ren says  as he turns to watch the assessment again. As he looks at the stage, Ren notices Lyeecia looking at him and Blix. Smiling slightly, Ren waves at her, causing her to smile and wave back.

Ren turns to the food stall that Val is at before sighing and shacking his head. After looking around for a while, Ren looks back to the stage to watch the assessment, while taking notes on a few of the people’s Classes and affinity’s.

While watching, he noticed that most people only had, Poor, Average and Good affinity’s, while the most common Classes were, Fighter, Mage, Archer and Thief. Ren also made note of a few names, but got bored after a while.

Finding a good stick, Ren starts drawing random symbols on the dirt, also drawing the occasional picture of a Chaos Beast. Continuing to draw, Ren draws around ten different beasts, and around five lines of symbols. After he finishes drawing, Ren sits down with a hand under his chin and the other hand in front of him.

A screen pops up in front of Ren, who begins scrolling though the different options, pausing to read a few of the details, before continuing to scroll again. Closing the screen, he opens up another one, this one containing different stats about himself. “Hmm, STR, DEX and END are all about even, with STR being higher by about two points. INT and SPR are about eight points lower…”

Mumbling to himself, Ren doesn’t realize that Blix and Val have walked up behind him. “Looks like you’ve improved again Ren.” Blix says, looking at the screen in front of Ren. “Not by much, INT and SPR haven’t gone up by much, but STR, DEX and END have gone up by a few points.” Ren days as he closes the screen.

Turning around, he looks at Blix and Val, “Well, can’t complain really, there aren’t many ways one can increase Intellect or Spirit, apart from meditating, I don’t know how to increase them. Increasing Strength is easy enough, same with Endurance, they can be increased with training. Dexterity is a bit harder, but it’s doable.” Ren says, laying back onto the ground and resting his head on his hands.

Val opens up her stat screen and looks at them, “Well, it can be hard, but it’s really worth raising them. I’ve only managed  to raise my INT and SPR to twenty-five, but I don’t think I can get them much higher. My STR is thirty-three, DEX is forty-six, and END is twenty-five as well.” She says, closing the screen.

Blix looks a little surprised when he hears this, “Did you increase your level recently?” He asks, opening his own stat screen, “I haven’t really increased my stats by much, but I forgot to check them after my Class was assigned. Hmm, my STR didn’t increase at all, it’s at fifteen, DEX increased to twenty-two, END went up to nineteen, INT rose by quite a lot, it’s now at thirty-nine, and SPR rose by quite a bit too, it’s at thirty-one now.” Blix says before closing the screen.

Ren is about to open his stat screen again when Lysedra calls out his name, “Rendryn Crystalore, can you come up please.” Ren looks at Val and Blix, “Looks like I’m up.” He says with a slight smile as he gets up. Blix pats him on the shoulder, “Don’t embarrass yourself up there.” He says with a grin. Ren gives a light laugh as he walks over to the stage.
