"Rosie Mendoza Faulkerson, you are not wearing that to your dance!"

Rj was eyeing his 15-year old daughter up and down. "Maine, mahal. Kausapin mo nga 'to! Tingnan mo yung damit?! May punit na sa may braso may butas pa sa likod! Rosie, kulang ba yung pera na binigay ko sayo at kulang kulang yang parts ng damit mo?"

Maine laughed at this sight.

Rosie's eyes were wide at saucers and was obviously very annoyed with her father. Rj had the exact same expression. However, they were for opposing sides of this argument. In Rosie's defense, the dress was actually quite conservative. It was a blue pencil cut dress that fell below her knees, with cutouts on the shoulder sleeves and a very small one at the back. Other than the dress being form fitting, it didn't show cleavage or too much skin.

But, of course, this wouldn't do for her father.

"Rj, she looks great and the dress compliments her and is not too revealing. You're very pretty, my darling." She kissed her daughter's cheeks and whispered. "Ako na bahala kay Daddy. You have fun, okay?"

"Thank you, Mommy! But, I don't want to see kisses okay? It's really so gross."

"Anong gross?" Rj came up and handed her a trench coat. "Suotin mo 'to. Ipatong mo diyan."

"Dad! Sa school gym nga lang yung dance tapos coat?!"

Rj scowled. "Matti! Ikaw na bahala dito sa pinsan mo ha. Bantayan mo. Bawal lumapit ang boys, okay? Sabihan mo ako kung may date 'to."

"Daddy, I'm going nga lang with Bea!"

"Bea. Baka Berting."

"Mommy! Si Daddy!"

12-year old Troy walks in. "Ano ba yang suot mo, Ate? Bakit punit-punit?" Rj beamed, proud of his son.

"MOMMY!"

"Sige na, go na. Wag tatakas kay Kuya Matti, okay? Manong will also watch over you guys. Pati si Manang." Maine reminded.

"Daming chaperone, daig ko pa yung royal family." Rosie grumbled.

"Go na before, Daddy changes his mind. Remember, what time are you supposed to be home?"

"Midnight."

Troy asked for a movie night since he was stuck home with them. About an hour into the moview, Rj asked Maine if they should text Rosie and she agreed.

"Hi, Baby. Just checking up on you. I hope you're having fun! Sorry earlier if Daddy was being makulit, you know how much he loves you and just wants you to be safe but I'm sure he also wants you to be happy. Enjoy tonight, my Love. Daddy and I left the porch light on for you."
