"Pack up!"
The director shouts and everyone applauds. They were done for the day and the cast and crew bid each other a courteous goodbye before heading their separate ways. It was long shoot for the teleserye and everyone just wanted to go home and sleep.
Home.
Alden Richards, star of the show and most sought after leading man at this time, was headed home. He sighed. Gone were the days when he would look forward to that.
Theirs was a love that came along once in a lifetime and in spite of all the challenges, they did get together and they were very happy and in love.
But that was not all that was needed to make a marriage work. Their differences were amplified; "tampuhans" always became fights; time for each other always an issue.
"I'll be home late! Leave the light on for me." She used to say when she was stuck in a shoot or would be out with friends. One day, she never did come back to him.
He shook his head, willing those thoughts away.
As soon as he was home, he took a shower taking the soap placed beside her body wash – one that he has refilled a number of times of the past months.
Once done with his shower, he hangs his towel beside hers.
He brushes his teeth then places it on the holder, where hers still remain.
He takes clothes from their closet that still contains some of the items she left.
He lay on the left side of the bed, ticking off his checklist. "Doors locked..." He turns to the pillow on the right side of the bed.
"Come home, Baby. I left the porch light on for you."
He has left that light on for the past 18 months.
"Please come home. Please Maine."
