Will's POV
Nulla lead me to her home, it was a small 2 story house, nothing really all the special about it, the side paneling was a very faded color of cyan and most of the windows where intact. We went through some pretty thick plant life and at one point I almost fell over from tripping over an very old, very rusted bicycle. Tree branches kept pulling my hood off and I had to quickly pull it back up. Needless to say, I was having a bit of trouble navigating through, but for Nulla it seemed like it was just as easy as breathing for her to step over the unseen obsticals, do duck under the low hanging branches, she looked at home like this, but how long has she been here? She couldent have been here since the meltdown, right? No, there is no way, she would be way to young then to survive on her own in an empty town not to mention everyone died in event. She must have ran away here some years ago, that has to be it. But, if I was so sure of this fact, why do I keep thinking about it? I hear Nulla speaking and I snap out of my thoughts and look at her, she was standing on the door step, waiting for me by the looks of it, he hand on the doorknob and an expectant look to her stance.Nulla's POV
I had partially hoped he had changed his mind when I looked back at him and saw him standing there just looking at me, no particular expression on his face, or there may have been, I can't read faces very well. I rest my hand on the doorknob as I wait for the answer to the question, wondering if he even heard me.
Why would he Want to hear you? You can't even make up your mind on what you want him to do, its surprising he didn't just turn back and left when he saw you.
I press my lips into a thin line, thanking my habit for making me always have the gasmask on and over my mouth so he couldn't see my internal turmoil. A few seconds later he started walking towards me, the part of me, a small part but a part nonetheless, was relived that he didn't just turn around and leave. I opened the door, it creaking softly from age as I walked inside, I glanced back to make sure he was coming, and he was.
He's just following because he pities you, he doesn't want to be here why would he when your here?
I know this already, do you have to constantly remind me? Its not like I'll try to forget it. I set my weapon down on a warped wooden table in the hallway as Will continues ahead of me, looking around, taking in the clear signs of neglect on the walls and furniture. There were no pictures, I threw them all way about a year after...everything. Except one. One I will never let go of. I watch as Will just wonders down the hall, lingering every now and then, I wasn't consciously aware I was starring at him until he looks at me and waves a little and I blink, snapping out of whatever kind of daze I was in. I know its rude to stare, I may have killed them but my parents taught me manners.
They still tried to leave you, not even your parents wanted to be around you, what makes you think he's any different?
I sigh quitely, I always had this voice in my head, its been with me since my sister died and its only gotten louder. Its a hard voice to ignore, especially when its speaking the truth. Which is just about all the time.
