The First Step Towards the Light

The next morning Angel woke up and Kim was curled up beside her smiling. Angel smiled a little then shook her head and growled and moved her over and rolled back over. A few minutes passed and she felt something hold onto her tail. She growled and looked behind her amd growled as she saw Kim holding her tail in her sleep. She growled a little but sighed and smiled to herself. After a while her ear's twitched and she heard fighting outside. She growled and sat up.  Kim wsa beside her again and yawned a little as she woke up.

Kim: Angel.. What's going on?

She rubbed her eyes and looked around.

Angel: Be quiet...

She looked around and growled as the fighting grew louder.

?: WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU LOST HER?!

?: THIS WOLF GIRL STOPPED US!! WE HAD HER CORNERED THEN OUT OF NO WHERE THIS WOLF ATTACKED US!

The fighting continued as Angel growled and grabbed Kim.

?: FIND HER NOW! IT'S THE ONLY WAY WE CAN GET THE KING TO GIVE US WHAT WE WANT ALPHA!

There was a yelp and a growl. Angel looked out the hole and saw a blueish-grey hedgehog and a black and red wolf.

Alpha: Yes sir. I'll get her right away Mephiles.

Mephiles: Good. Haha. Soon we will know who his oldest daughter is. She's the strongest.. And one of the strongest.. Haha... Me... Will mate with her creating the greatest lifeform ever. Haha.

Alpha growled a little than ran off as Mephiles looked around and growled. He smelled the air and looked around and started walking towards the enterance of Angel's hid-out. Angel growled and held Kim close growling but then held her breath as Mephiles got closer.He was about to walk into the hole when a wolf ran into the alley.

?:Angel! Ya here?!

Angel looked out of the hole and Mephiles was gone. She growled and put Kim down.

Angel: Devin!

She smiled and ran over to the wolf and he kissed her smiling.

Devin: I heard some goons talking about a white wolf kicking their asses! I had to come see if you were okay!

Angel smiled as Kim ran up behind her shyly watching Devin from between Angel's legs.

Angel: Yeah. Actually two fights. I found them because they thought they were smart and tried to rape me. And then I had to help this little girl right here.

She stepped over and smiled as Kim jumped a little and ran behind her again. Devin smiled and laughed too.

Devin: She's a cutie. But when did you start being so nice Angel?

Angel: Shut up Devin. They were trying to hurt her. And well she's a kid Dev.. I couldn't just sit there and let them do that.

Devin: I was just kidding damn. Haha. Now what's your name cutie pie?

He bent down and looked at Kim. She gasped and hid behind little angel wings.

Angel: Aww. Don't be shy. He won't hurt you and you have wings too??

Kim nodded and looked at Devin then she looked at Angel.

Kim: M.. My name is Kim. What's yours?

Devin: My name's Devin little Missy.

He smiled and pretended to tip a hat as Kim giggled.

Angel: I have to help her. She lost her dad Devin... I want to help her find him.

Devin looked at Angel confused and laughed a little and shook his head.

Devin: Are you serious??? Angel.. You're not a hero Angel. Damn you're not even meant to be honestly...

Angel looked at him then down.

Ange;: Devin please.. I have to help her. I don't care if I'm not a hero, I still can help some one. Not like I'm a bad guy... Like...

Devin: Like me???

He looked at her and growled a little as she looked down. Kim stood behind Angel scared.

Angel: Wasn't gonna say you.. But someone is after Kim... Devin please.. Help me...

Devin looked at her then Kim and thought a minute.

Devin: Why should I Angel?

Angel: Because you love me... Now's the time to show it Devin.

He looked at her than kissed her.

Devin: I guess you're right. I'll help.

He smiled and hugged Angel and picked up Kim. Angel smiled and looked around.

Angel: Thank you.... But we need to hide her, so.... We'll need hoodies. Haha.

She smiled and ran into her hide-out and came back out with two hoodies.

Kim: Are we going to find my daddy?

Devin: Yes we are Kim. Time to go hero. Haha.

He smiled and Angel nodded as they took off.

Angel *Thinking*: I wonder if that hedgehog was looking for Kim.... And why do these people really want her???

As they ran through the city, several people tried to stop them and fight but they kept on running.

Angel: Kim, what does you're dad look like?

Kim: He's tall.. White.. And wears a long robe!

Angel: Ah. Okay that shouldn't be hard to find.

She looked around then at Devin as Kim held onto her tighter as they passed people fighting. She yawned a little than tripped and  fell.

Kim: Oww! *sniff*

Her eyes teared up and Angel picked her up.

Angel: There. There. Don't cry, it's okay. Shhh..

Kim sniffed as Angel hugged her and started humming. Devin watched her and looked around then sighed.

Devin: Angel. You're going soft on me here... That's dangerous you know..

Angel looked at him and growled a little.

Angel: Look what I do doesn't concern you okay? I'm still the same person...

She looked at Kim as she yawned and fell asleep.

Angel: She reminds me of me.....

Devin: Yeah honestly.. She looks like you too...

Angel looked at kim than him and sighed a little.

Angel: I know... I've noticed that.. I think that's why I'm so interested in helping her...

She looked down and sighed then looked around again.

Angel: Let's go find her dad...

Devin nodded and Angel spread her wings and Devin spreaded black and blue dragon wings and they flew off.

                       With some one unknown...

A white wolf with a long, royal looking robe was running through the city as if he was looking for someone.

?: Hello?! Has anyone seen my daughter?!

He had a picture of a small white wolf and was running up to random people worried. His eyes teared up as the people just laughed at them.

?: PLEASE SOMEONE HELP MEEEEE!?
