I felt so many butterflies and fireworks. The feelings were so strong that I was certain we had mutual feelings for each other. I pulled apart, and rested my forehead on his as we were both trying to regain air.

"Wow..." was all I could say. He laughed lightly as he pulled away, and stared down. "Jeff.. I don't know what to say.." I smiled.

"You don't have to say anything," he whispered back. I could feel the blood rushing to my cheeks.

He looked back up at me and smiled that irresistible smile. Needing more, I pressed my lips onto his once more. Soft, yet passionate.

I don't normally let people in so quickly, but Jeff was different. We were so compatible. I knew he is going to be worth it.

He pulled back after a few seconds and smiled at me again. We pulled apart and just sat for a few minutes, enjoying each other's presence. After a few minutes, he spoke up.

"I know that we haven't known each other for very long. It's just that my feelings for you are through the roof. Every time that we hang out, I just feel this immense.." he started trailing off.

"Connection?" I finished his sentence. I agree with him. The more and more we hang out, the more I like him.

"Yes," he looked into my eyes. "And I'm sorry if you don't feel the same way. I would never want to force you into anything," he looked down again.

"No Jeff, it's okay. I feel the same way about you. I just feel like we really connected ever since the first time we met, and I haven't stopped feeling that way ever since. I really enjoy spending time with you," I smile at him.

He looks up at me. "Me too," he smiles, "and if you want to take things slow, I completely understand." I sat there thinking that maybe I should take things slow since I recently got so heartbroken with my last relationship. But Jeff really makes me forget about all of that. It's like he picked up the missing pieces of my heart and glued them back together.

He's so wonderful. How did I get so lucky?

After he drove me home, I went inside feeling like I was on cloud 9. I was so ecstatic that I finally know what he feels about me. I was so caught up in everything that I forgot that my parents had guests over for dinner.

"Leighanne," my dad started, "these are the Smythe's. They are new in town. This is their son, Sebastian. He will be attending Dalton Academy. I know you have some friends there." He smiled at me, motioning for me to say hello and introduce myself.

"Hi, I'm Leighanne," I smiled at them. I looked at the boy. He was just staring at me. Weird.

I excused myself to go to the kitchen to see if my mom needed help with anything.

"Hi Annie, how was your picnic?" she asked me while she was getting the dessert out of the fridge.

"It went really well," I said smiling, remembering the date.

"You look like you had fun," she winked at me. "I'm going to take this to the dining room." I saw Sebastian pass by my mom on her way out.

"Do you need any help Mrs. Parker?" he politely asked.

"Oh no, I'm fine. Thank you Sebastian," she smiled back.

He walked towards me and asked, "Can I have some water?"

"Sure," I said. I poured him some ice and water in a cup we set out for the guests.

"Thanks," he mumbled. "So you go to McKinley High, right?"

"Yes," I said. "What grade are you in?"

"I'm a junior," he said, taking a sip of the water.

"Oh me too," I said, smiling. "What activities are you planning on doing at Dalton?" I asked.

"I really like lacrosse.. and signing. I got accepted in the Warblers," he said, trying not to make eye contact and blushing.

"Oh that's so cool. I have a few friends in the Warblers. I'm in the glee club at my school too," I said. We started talking more about our interests until our parents called us for dessert. By the end of the night, we had gotten along pretty well.

"Well, see you around Leighanne," he said while he was walking out of the front door.

"Bye," I waved.

Sebastian seemed like a very nice guy, he was cute too. Hopefully we can become friends.
