Chapter 18

*One month later*

No one has seen or heard from Dylan in a month and I miss him so much. I'm getting fat and cranky, all I wanna do all day is stay in my room and sleep. I was sitting in the living room on the floor, don't ask why I just was staring at the t.v which isn't even on, then my phone rang. I looked at the caller I.D but it it didn't say anything, I answered it

"Hello" I said and all I could here was breathing "If your not gonna speak I'm hanging up"

"Wait don't" the familiar voice said

"Who is this" I asked

They took a deep breath "Its your father Haley"

"What do you want" I said kinda upset

"I wanted to see you and Christina" he said

"Why, what could you possibly want to see us for" I said confused

"I wanna tell you two something" he said and it sounded like he was being serious

"About what" I asked

"I'll tell you when you both get to the address, I'm about to tell you" I sat there thinking

"Fine, but if you try and hurt either of us I will kill you this time" I said

"Thanks and I promise I won't do anything" he said sorta happy

I hung up and slowly got up off the floor and up to Christina room, Matt moved in two weeks after Dylan left. I knocked on the door and she answered it, her hair was wet like she just got out of the shower.

"Hey what's up" she said

"Can I come in" I asked and she nodded

I walked to her bed and sat down "What's wrong" she asked

"Umm, well dad called and he wants us to go see him" she looked at me weird

"Why?" she asked

"He said he wanted to tell us something" I said and she raised an eyebrow

"Do you think its a trap" I shook my head no

"No, he sounded like he really wanted to see us" I said and she sighed

"Fine, I'll go, but if he does something stupid..." I laughed

"I told him what would happen if he did" she nodded

I got up from her bed and walked to my room, I didn't feel like changing my clothes, but I had to. I jumped in the shower and got washed up, then brushed my teeth, left my hair wet and put on my clothes. I hate the winter time, but I managed to find warm comfortable clothes. I walked out of the room and downstairs. Christi was seating in the kitchen with Matt, she looked up and chuckled

"You look warm" she said

"I know, you ready to go" she nodded

"Can Matt go too" she asked and I shrugged

"I don't care" they both got up and walked to the car. Once we got in I drove to the address, when we got there we all got out and walked to the house. I knocked and he opened the door. When he saw me his eyes bulged out, but didn't say anything he just moved out the way to let us in. We walked into the living room, we sat down and there was an awkward silence

"So what did you wanna tell us" I said breaking the silence

"I wanted to say I'm so sorry for everything that's happened to both of you. I never in my life wanted nothing to do with what I've done, your mother was a money hungry hoer and would have done anything to get it including killing anyone to get it. I told your mother not to do it, but she black mailed me into it. I tried my very best to protect you two, that's why I sent Christina away to live your grandparents. I tried my very hardest to protect you Hal, for you not to get involved with all this shit but I guess I was wrong. I had goals for you both, but I guess what's in my head isn't the same thing that's right in front of me" he finished and Christi was crying into Matt's chest and I just sat there unresponsive

"What happened to mom" I finally asked

"She's still in a coma, the doctors say that she might never wake up" he said

"Good, she deserves to rot in that bed for the rest of her life" Christi snared and I nodded my head

"I have no comment for that, so now what's up with you two" he asked

"Oh you know the usual, I'm pregnant with my I'm not sure of a boyfriends child, Matt and Christi have been dating for a year, so were just perfect" I said the last part sarcastically

"I'm sorry again" he said and I shrugged

"Yea me too" I sighed

"So, do you know if it's a boy or girl yet" he asked

"I don't know I'm only a month in a half" I said and he nodded

"Well if you need any help with him or her, just call me" he said and I gave him a hug

"Thank you" I whispered in his ear, then a tear rolled down my cheek

"Don't cry, everything is gonna get better. I promise" he said and I hugged tighter

"I guess we should get going" I said and he nodded

I got up and Christi hugged him goodbye and walked out of the house with Matt, I turned and hugged him one more time. I walked out of the house and to the car. Christi and Matt were hungry so we decided to stop at a pizza place, we walked inside and they ordered the pizza while I just sat at a table near the window. I was looking out the window, then I saw what looked like Dylan, but I wasn't sure. I got up and walked across the street and into a parking lot, when I got closer it was Dylan. I walked over to him and when he saw me, he didn't have a reaction

"Dylan where have you been" I asked and he just looked at me "Oh so you're gonna pretend like you don't know me" he shrugged

"That's because I don't know you" he said and I looked at him weird

"What do you mean you don't know me, it's Haley, sweetheart" I said and he just stood there

"I'm sorry, but I don't remember a lot of things" he said

I sighed and tears were in my eyes "You look hungry you want some pizza" I asked and he nodded

We walked back across the street and Christi and Matt looked at Dylan like he was a ghost, he looked at them and smiled. We sat in front of them

"Hey Dyl where have you been lately" Matt asked

"Around, how are you and Christi" when he asked that my heart just dropped either he's playing like he doesn't remember me or he really did forget about me

"We're good, you had Hal worried. At one point she wouldn't eat because she missed you so much" Christi said than he had that same face like before

"He doesn't remember me" I said and they looked at each other then back at us

"How does he not remember the mother of his child and girlfriend" Matt asked and Dylan's eyes went wide

"Wait you're my girlfriend and carrying my baby" he asked like this oh so new to him, I just nodded

"Can we just go home, I'm tired" I said and they nodded

"Dyl are you coming back with us to the house" Matt asked, he nodded and we all walked back to my car. He looked at it and like he was talking to himself shook off a feeling and got in. I drove back to the house and I walked inside and went up to my room took off my shoes, my scarf and my gloves then crawled into bed and cried myself to sleep.
