19. Mission

Kendall's POV;

We fire at targets painted in the tree tops as shooting practice. Once I finish shooting all the targets, I sprint up to a tree before climbing right to the top of the tree at a fast pace.

When I reach the top I stand so my head pops out at the top of the tree tops. I look both ways, the full  white moon rises slowly from the east as the sunset goes down slowly in the west. I wait until the light is almost completely gone before jumping right from the top of the tree back to the ground where Paige and Kathryn stand awaiting orders.

"We move now, I will track his scent. all communication will be mind linked. Paige I'm going to have to tweak with your mind so we can hear your thoughts."i say in a strict tone. Kathryn and Paige nod, knowing the procedure.

I place my hand on her head and concentrate on her thoughts, linking hers with my own creating a small bond between the both of us. Once the bond is complete I drop my hand before nodding to my sister. She does the same before we all pull up our mouth masks.

"Remember. I am the only one that can communicate verbally." I say before sprinting up a tree. We all jump from tree to tree avoiding any ground movement, knowing we are in pack territory and they would be able to see us, or hear us. Wolves dont think to look up.

They arent very intelligent.

I breathe in the cold crisp air a couple times before i catch the scent of a certain wolf.

Bingo.

"I got him. Hes East, there are 3 other wolves in the same area, so be cautious."i mind link them before taking off east with them right behind me.

We come to the edge of the forest where the pack house is. I leap from the tree and land on the ground with a soft thud. We then climb and jump up to the third story of the house. I close my eyes sniff the air deeply to get a better indication of where he is in the house.

"He's in that room. We have to be quick. In and out, there's one other wolf on this floor as well, the other two are on the first floor."i mind link as they nod

"We will take care of the other wolf." Kathryn informs me before they take off.

And that leaves me with Tyce.

I sneak into a window that opened to the large pitch black hall. My eyes sting as I use my vision ability to look into the darkness and follow his terrible scent of cigarettes and wet dog.

I feel sorry for the poor soul who will have to put up with that smell for the rest of their life.

I am lead to a room door. As i am about to open it i hear a loud thud down the hall.

I hear the mumbles of curse words from my sister.

Could they be any louder?

I remember that Tyce is in this room and probably heard the loud noise. I quickly tamper into his head as I listen to his mind link.

"Mason?" I cut off his connection and hear him mumble under his breath. I bring my fist up to the door and knock three times hard, startling him I hear him shuffling around his room quickly.

He sniffs the air but he cant smell my scent.

"Whos there?"He calls as I roll my eyes. I wait a moment and realise he is not opening the door unless he knows who I am.
